Liked: Nothing except the location

Disliked: Terrible place - staff is awful, not helping, not listening and trying to scam you. I organized transport to airport with them early morning and they tried to make me pay more in the end. Once agreed and paid driver had disappeared! Place is not clean, full of cockroaches. Bathroom is dirty. By far the worst place I have stayed at!

Liked: Excellent location, clean rooms en low-budget

Disliked: Most of the staff-members weren't friendly or helpful. Most of the time we didn't have running water.

Liked: Location is handy to airport... Jeepneys on Quinino Ave. go straight to MIA. A cheepish nightlife area is close by at corner of Quinino Ave. near Baclaran. They had hot water showers and gave us shampoo sachets.

Disliked: We checked in a day early and upgraded from dorm bead to their best twin room - and yet they still were reluctant to honour the Hostelbookers deposit. As I have found in Singapore, they seem to forget they wouldn't have got the busineess if they weren't on Hostelbookers, and yet they state things like: "we don't get the deposit, Hostelbookers do". No toilet seat on the toilet in a room with private facilities - seems odd since we priced one at P500 at a hardware store. Food at hostel is not the cheapest but there are few alternatives within short walking distance. Best to head to Baclaran (about half a kilometre away). P500 deposit for sheets / towels seems dodgy at first but iupon refund can be used towards P550 MIA departure tax if you are leaving straight away.

Liked: Very good food and free wifi. close to airport.

Disliked: The staff is rude and not helpful at all. We stayed there one night, when we arrived first day one of the toilets were plugged, when we left the other day all 3 toilets were plugged and the water didnt work. When we told the staff about it, they didnt say anything, they just looked at us bored, and they didnt do anything about it. A place to meet other travellers? The only people we met were middleaged men. And true, the hostel is close to the airport but nothing else, so you are pretty much stuck if you are on a budget and you can't use a cab all day long. I have been travelling for five months now, and this is the rudest staff so far. If you stand in front of them, they'll ignore you. And if you start talking, they just keep on ignoring you. When we got to our room, someone had written "do not stay at this hostel!!" on the door. I agree.

Liked: A good budget option, near to the airport. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The airport service was on time. Wifi was quick. Quite quirky with lots of pictures on the walls. You were given shampoo, toilet role and towels on check in - a nice extra for a place at this price.

Disliked: The communal bathroom did not have a proper lock - more a wall hook to slide through the door and the wall. The room was pretty run down and the bed the most uncomfortable I have slept in - full of lumps and out of place springs. The surrounding area was not good, I would not feel safe if I was a lone traveller (however, I did feel this about much of Manilla).

Liked: It´s near to the airport and they offer an airport shuttle for 120Php.

Disliked: Dirty and very big roaches. I was only there for to take a shower, because I zook a nightbus down to Manila. I know that Townhouse is not the best, but it´s cheap and next to the airports. You get what you pay.

Liked: GREAT place to stay. It is cheap, and that is obvious, but you would not have stayed if it was more expensive, so stop whining that it is not perfect :)

Liked: The WiFi was great. Good that its so conveniently located near all airport terminals.

Disliked: Bugs around our beds in our last stay bit us. But this stay they put us in a different room and said they were dealing with the issue. Also, bathrooms were always disgusting. The airport shuttle was organized by the wonderful Camille, but in the morning no employees knew what was going on, very unprofessional, I felt like I had to be pushy to get them to call their driver, who finally came and we left almost 30 minutes late.

Disliked: quite a lot, first i have to mention, that it was verryyyy dirty, the rooms were different then discribed, hard to communicate as the stuff didn't speak a proper english, ....

Liked: Airport pick up was useful and very cheap rooms.

Disliked: It was very dingy and we had a cramped room with one "double bed" and one single - both were smaller than advertised. There was no way three people would be comfortable. It did the job as an airport stop over place to sleep but I wouldn't recommend more than that.

Liked: great descriptions while I asked how to come there from Clark airport - contact by phone was very good. The food was quite good, fresh and they even have vegetarian food (meatlovers, don't worry you can order meat as well). there's close by internetcoffees, wifi is free from 6h till 24h and by the bayview towers there's a 24h shop (5 min. by foot).

Disliked: the staff was not friendly at all - except for the contact by phone. I didn't felt welcome. the single room is a small hole - at least there's a small bed and almost no other space. Enough for sleeping and put a backpack beside the bed.

Liked: Great location for a stopover in Manila. Easy and cheap airport pickup, highly recommended for a short stay.

Disliked: More musty smelling than I would like, even though we're in the tropics, it's a little strong.

Liked: the rent price & location is good, Just 5'' walk away, we can take a bus, jeep, trycycle... & local street food.

Disliked: for single room, it's quite fine but the dorms should be better in all way....

Liked: Good kitchen, convenient airport transfer service.

Disliked: My reservation had been allegedly "lost" (despite the mail of confirmation that I later discovered they had sent me), so I had to pay the 10% again. Not like it's the end of the world, but like it's the beginning of trouble.

Liked: Somewhat near the airport

Disliked: The dorm is totally separated from the main hostel and its like a big room made of plywood with 4 four beds. There was a foreigner when I got inside the very small cramped room. He had stayed there for months already and everything was so disorganized and hot. Thus we slept the whole night with the door open.

Liked: Good free wifi connection in the lobby. Close to the airport. There's plenty of other travellers to have a chat with when you feel ike doing so, though there are a few long term guests with not much clue as to what they are doing or where they are going. It's pretty easy to work out whether they're worth paying much attention to.

Disliked: The place grows on you after the 3rd or 4th stay. The staff can be somewhat indifferent at ttimes. Luck of the draw really, depends on their mood and whether they slept the night before.

Liked: Location to airports. Once we sorted out our original room problems the stay was not too bad. Food was good .

Disliked: Not expecting us and staff very forgetful on most things. Refused to stay in our original room as it was an absolute shambles and dirty, Once the staff realised this they showed us one of the holiday rooms which was better.

Liked: leaving

Disliked: Close to the airport, but not much else. 40mins walk to nearest metro stop (we're not slow walkers) along uneven roads or a busy highway. Cockroaches in the bed, at least 3 actually IN the bed, as well as more in the room. Told staff, was given Raid and when I asked if we could move to another room for just one night, whilst the Raid did it's job, of our two night stay we were told we would have to pay the difference. Staff simply said, this is a tropical country and it is to be expected. 3 months in South-East Asia, never seen a cockroach inside any hotel, let alone the bed.
