Liked: Nothing at all. The only positive was the feeling I had when I got in a taxi and got as far away from there as I could.

Disliked: They changed my reservation from a single to a dorm. Overall very dirty place with beg bugs, I woke up with lots of bites. Dangerous neighborhood, was warned repeatedly not to leave at night. Loud drums at night which did not help for getting some sleep.

Liked: Friendly staff and let me stay in a bigger two bed dorm room instead of a single bed room due to the low season.

Disliked: As much else in Cebu this guesthouse is very old and run down. I could not get any sleep during the night partly due to the "partying" downstairs and around (until 3-4am) but mostly due waking up of multiple insect bites that really hurt. The sheets although looking clean felt quite oily and dirty, also the bathrooms were not very nice. Altogether, if you want a place with vibe and atmosphere but care nothing of the state of the accommodation and facilities then this could be for you, If you want somewhere clean better stay somewhere else.

Liked: The beer was cheap. Thats about all we liked.

Disliked: Too many rats running around bedrooms/hallway/toilet. Mice in kitchen/restaurant. When I told the staff about the rats in my room they just brushed it off wondering why i was complaining after the rats had ripped up some of my belongings. There was rat holes in the rooms and there wasnt some window panes in some of the windows-hence why rodents were able to get in. Bed was damp from rain coming in through the missing window panes. Music stayed going all through the night til 6am as the bar is 24 hours. The bathroom was so unsanitary-absolutely fitly-bugs all over the place and there was all smelly dirty underwear in baskets and hanging up.

Liked: the bar was open 24 hours which was handy,particuarly when we realized our air con wasnt working..Good sized room

Disliked: where do we start? We arrived in the evening after making a booking online the night before, when we arrived they hadn't got our booking. We were taken to the room anyway, where there was mould on the ceiling, the room looked like it was falling apart, there were ants all in the unclean bathroom and we had to use our own sheets because the ones provided were disgusting and dirty. The door of the bathroom didnt shut and we had 2 aircon units, neither of which worked. When we asked for a fan in the middle of the night, the staff were very reluctant to help and eventually came to our room to inspect the aircon unit. they agreed to give us a fan,which was tiny, and when i asked for a discount on the room - as we weren't getting the product we paid for the woman just looked at me and refused. Very over priced for what it is, shower was ice cold and only ran for a very short time, if we were lucky it worked properly otherwise it just trickled. The tv also didnt work or have decent signal. The door to the room was dubious, with several instances during the night worrying it had opened. We also got overcharged at the bar for products we hadnt brought... we went to this place on the reccomendation of lonely planet, PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE

Liked: Location was close enough to everything and facilities were in decent shape. Bed was hard. Midnight to 0800 staff were friendly and nice. Day shift ; some were friendly some were not especially the big lady in the office(rude). All in all it was worth the money. Thank-you!

Liked: It's a little out of the way but easy for taxi drivers to find. Don't let the view from the street put you off, inside is very pleasant and cool with a nice bar/ restaurant. Air con rooms and shady.

Liked: It is your best choice if you are a budget traveller. However, beddings and curtain are not clean. The restroom is public and it is quite noisy at night because it is located at center of the city. The staff at night is very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the wonderful band show in the Valentine's Day. The hostel is suitable for young and energentic travellers.
