Liked: The room was a good size, the beach closest to hostel was really nice and you can usually score a lounge chair! The male staff were super friendly and helpful.

Disliked: THE ROOSTER next door. I didn't realize how light of a sleeper i am till I was woken up everyday at 5am by that thing. The bed was a bit hard, one of the harder ones during my Asia trip.

Liked: Although the staff where very nice and helpful we had to request an upgrade from our hut upon arrival. We found A/C essential in the Philippino high season while the cleanliness was a little to be desired (so many ants!). The walls are paper thin in the huts so forget about a restful nights sleep if you have any neighbours (there's also the cocks living next door). Despite this, our upgrade to the fan room was worth the extra money and the coffee in the morning was a bonus, but from our experience (having stayed at a couple of places of varying standards on Boracay) that it's worth shelling out the extra. On a plus, the staff are very very friendly and helpful.

Liked: It's not far from the quiet end of White Beach.

Disliked: On the downside - there's nothing going on there so it's not the best place to meet other solo travellers.

Liked: The rooms were clean, the coffee every morning was really nice, and the staff were friendly, although, they require that you leave your passport as a security deposit when you check-in which I felt uncomfortable about doing so I left them my California Drivers License. When we checked out they gave me a receipt for my stay but forgot to return my license. I live in Korea and didn't even think about my CA license until I saw it was gone at the Caticlan airport. Just glad I didn't leave them my Passport. They're mailing it. Yay.

Disliked: We asked to be picked up from Caticlan airport by the staff but had we not asked, we would have a lot of trouble finding this place. The signs are awful directing you there and the hotel is not even labeled once you arrive. It's 2-3 min walk from the beach but be aware that if you traveling in the off season, station 3 is a 10 - 15 minute walk from station 2 and 1 which is where most bars and restaurants are. In our first room, the toilet didn't work and the shower had almost zero water pressure. Had to ask for toilet paper everyday and a shower curtain to keep our bathroom from being a mess. All in all, if you're going during the off season don't book a reservation online... just go to Boracay and find a place. Everywhere has rooms available and you can bargain the price.

Liked: The cottage was nice and the coffee waiting for you on the veranda is nice. They are building a new privacy wall.

Disliked: My veranda had a serious ant problem. There are several roosters that will start crowing at 4am and go on for about 2 hours right next to the hostel. Also, besides being ridiculously hard to find and ill-labeled, it's really far down station 3 from any of the activities, bars, and restaurants. Also, the path to it floods completely if it rains so expect to trek through several cm of water

Liked: Its privacy.. the staff are very accomodating and friendly.. they are always there to please you. it has a good location very far from noisy bars. its also near to the beach. if you want to have a really good rest at night, you better have this place for yourself. :)

Disliked: everything is fine at oceanbreeze especially if you are on a budget trip..

Liked: The rooms were very comfortable with free wifi. The staff especially Jane were lovely and very friendly and helpful. We stayed 9 nights and did not want to leave at the end. It was a 3 minute walk to White Beach, the main beach on Boracay in a very quiet location - we did not hear a sound at night. The first room we went into had a connecting door which we don't like so after the first night, they changed us to another room. The front rooms have big balconies. If you take your own tea and coffee there is free hot water which will be brought up to the room with cups. Every morning, free coffee is put outside the room for when you wake up.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Had a great time staying at Ocean Breeze in Boracay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Made me feel like I was more like a guest and not just a renter. I liked the location a lot too as it was away from all the noise near Station 3. Some people may not like that atmosphere but I thought it was great to get a good sleep and a break from the chaos of stations 1 and 2. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Disliked: There was really no serious problems. A little difficult to meet other guests. But as there is a new common area under construction I'm sure that won't be a problem for long.

Liked: The staff here were brilliant. They came to pick us up at the airport in Kalibo for minimal cost. Considering the slightly askew position of the premises it was great to have someone guide us there the first time. Its literally one minute to the beach and probably the nicest sections of the beach at that. They were always helpful and gave beach towels and snorkel gear for almost nothing. The room was beautiful and is the perfect place for a couple. Value for money no doubt. Can't wait to go back.

Liked: the nipa hut is lovely, basic but with everything you need. There were renovations happening on site during our stay so things were a bit busy but fine as there was still some guest kitchen space available if necc. friendly and helpful staff. only 2 mins from the beach in quieter station 3...recommend eating at the local restro and mini bar 'shantals'..for quality and price.
