Hostal Chaska Wasi

The Hostal Chaska Wasi is located in village Ollantaytambo in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a perfect place to start your visit to Peru. The Valley is a prime cultural and adventure destination in South America.

It is home to a number of important Inca ruins including, Maras and Moray and is a convenient departure point for the fabled Machupicchu, with trains leaving daily from Ollantaytambo stations.

Ollantaytambo is at a lower elevation than Cusco, about an hour away by car, which makes for a gentler acclimatization to the altitude. The Sacred Valley has a mild climate within a dramatic setting of mountains, valleys and meadows, well-suited for outdoor activities such as horseback riding with Peruvian Paso Horses, mountain biking, rafting, paragliding, walking and trekking.

From Chaska Wasi you can choose the type of tourism you prefer, cultural, eco-tourism, adventure, mystic or just relaxation.

You will have the opportunity of visiting the Archeological Complexes located in the Sacred Valley, like Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Salapunko, Llactapata. According to your plans you can take the train to Machu Picchu, in the train station located at a walking distance (800m.) from the hostal.
