Liked: One of the best hostels we've stayed at in Peru. The owner speaks a crazy amount of languages and its the most helpful owner I've ever encountered. The owner picked us up from the bus terminal and we didn't even have to ask. Stay here and you won't regret it!

Liked: being picked up from the bus when we hadn't told them when we were arriving was a pleasant surprise. the rooms are clean but stuffy. if you are happy to pay a little more and book all your tours through the hostel then you wont have any problems, lots of information and nothing is too much trouble.
Disliked: but as soon as you ask or even suggest looking elsewhere for tours, the attitude changes, the help suddenly stops.

Liked: The owner, Juan, was quite professional, he met picked me up from the bus station. The room was a good size, and the shower functioned properly, although a shower screen, or curtain might prevent water getting everywhere in the bathroom. The included breakfast was relatively good.
Disliked: The location was about three or four blocks from the central plaza, main street. It was relatively expensive compare with some of the cheap hotels in town. The laundry service was very expensive 6 Soles per Kg.

Liked: Nice size double room, basic but clean. Friendly owner, speaks a lot of languages. We booked a flight over the Nazca lines at the hostel. The price was 100 US dollars, which is average. The air company was Air Majoro, which was safe to fly with.
Disliked: Hot showers only in the morning and early afternoon. Owner is really friendly, but only when you book the tours at his place ;)

Liked: The family that runs this hostel is really friendly and helpful and the dorm rooms are quiet spacious.
Disliked: I guess that it's helpful that the dorms have their own private bathrooms. Problem is that the walls don't go up to the ceiling, making it very noisy to use the bathroom when others are in the room!

Liked: The staff were friendly and let me stay into the night of my check out day as my bus didn't leave until 8pm. Beds were very comfy and the showers were nice and warm. The Laundry was also done nicely.
Disliked: The owner was very pushy with making us book our flight over the Nasca Lines with him as soon as we arrived off a night bus and when I said we would look around, he made some semi rude comments. It turned out to be much cheaper to go to the airport and book it ourselves anyway. When it came to breakfast, they then told me it was not included with the dorm though that is never mentioned anywhere.

Liked: The staff were amazing and bent over backwards to get us on a flight over the Nazca Lines during the short time we were there! We were picked up from the bus station which saves the hassle of fighting with unscrupulous taxi drivers and everything from then onwards was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and the rooms comfortable

Liked: Really lovely place - clean bathrooms, hot water, nice communal area. Spent a relaxing afternoon reading in the hammocks after doing the lines in the morning. Juan is a genuinely charming and helpful man - and speaks perfect English. He helped me find a local doctor to remove stitches following a death road ´incident´.
Disliked: Whilst there is wifi, it would be nice if there was a communal computer.

Liked: Owned and run by a lovely Peruvian family. They are very welcoming, attentive, and will go out of their way to help you. The father and daughter run their own travel agency which has a really good reputation. They were extremely helpful and prompt in organizing our flights over the Nazca lines. The price was reasonable, and the flight was safe, professional and Amazing! The hostel is very very clean, homey, an area to lounge around. In a central location and safe area. Definitely recommend this hostel to anyone!

Liked: The hostel was located a few short minutes walk to the main street & restaurants, etc. The owner spoke excellent English & used to be (& sometimes still is I believe), a tour guide so knows the area very well & also what there is to see & do, & is very helpful. The rooms were clean & a good size & the hostel had an area just outside the rooms to relax & socialise in. Also the security of the place was good with a gated entrance & it had good sized lockers for whole rucksacks.
Disliked: The only thing I can say is that it lacked a bit of character & they were still working on the place. Also, when we were there, we were unfortunately the only people staying there! I'm not sure whether there were better places to stay in town or just that it was the low season.

Liked: Quiet, very friendly staff. Family-owned hostel. Juan's daughter was there to meet us at the bus stop late at night and as we were starving after the long trip, she was more than happy to show us where to eat and also helped us order the food in Spanish. Juan also runs a tour agency and got us on a Nasca Lines flight the next day. We were also able to book a sandboarding tour on the spur of the moment, and Juan let us stay waaaaay past the check-out time so that we could take showers after sandboarding. Altogether a really nice place to stay and wished we had stayed longer
