Liked: The hostel has a really nice pool and area to sunbathe. A member of staff (Juan) was really helpful when we were mugged walking back to the hostel; translating at the Police Station for us. The food was good but overpriced.

Disliked: The manager was really unhelpful and blamed us for getting mugged in broad daylight. Bar and restaurant are overpriced, and much cheaper in town. The hostel is a bit out of the way, so taxis are required to get into town (unless you want get mugged as we did). Also played the same 20 songs for 4 days straight, so they really need to sort out some decent music. It got very annoying and all of the guests were talking about it.

Liked: The pool and bar area were really nice, the staff was helpful and friendly, we stayed there for Peruvian Independence Day and the party was really fun. The breakfast was good.

Disliked: The music was pretty loud and it was far from the main part of the town

Liked: Excellent hostel. Just out of town, but only takes 15 minutes walk along the beach. Right on the beach. Has it's own pool. The rooms are great and the beds comfortable. The staff are amazing and really make you feel welcome. Good mix of people there and fun games to enjoy.

Liked: Pretty much everything. This was a favourite hostel we´ve stayed in in South Amercia. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was right on a private beach. The restaurant sells great food and a good price. The pool area is lovely. Good drinks from the bar. Security was excellent - there were 2-3 guides 24hrs a day. Whilst it´s out of town which could be seen as a negative we really liked this because it was so relaxing and only a $3 cab ribe or 15 minute walk...it gave you something to do during the day.

Disliked: We stayed in a bungalow which was lovely but had no hot water (you can use the shared bathrooms for hot water) and limited furniture. No self-catering kitchen but the restaurant pretty much makes up for it!

Liked: The location is great, and the staff very accommodating except for the lady serving breakfast who was adamant that only one coffee a head. Given it was only a spoonful of instant coffee, this was ridiculous. But everyone else was lovely!

Disliked: Shower in bungalow very poor, but you can use main showers which serve the dorms and they are fine.

Liked: Love this place! The staff are so amazing and fun. A nice lowkey atmosphere, not pretentious at all. All the partying you could want but big enough to have quiet areas too. Nice pool. Riiiight on the beach, further from town so you have the beach all to yourself. Great.

Disliked: Food a bit pricey in the hostel. nothing seriously disliked.

Liked: The beach bungalows are in a fantastic location!

Disliked: The bathroom was filthy and urine all over toilet seat on check in, matress was terrible worst mattress I have ever slept on in 50+ hostels world wide, ants in the bed, breakfast is promoted as starting at 8am but the kitchen staff did not show up until 8:30 and fed themselves and family before opening the kitchen for guests, no hot water in bungalows, bungalows are extremely basic only bed and bins.
