Liked: The owner and his son are unbelievable friendly. Taking into consideration that the Hostal is among the cheapest accomodation options in the direct neighbourhood of the airport the service and friendliness ist great: Value-for-Money: top!

Disliked: The only point to complain about is the location. Yes, it is near the airport and for somebody looking for cheap accommodation it is an ideal place to stay. However, if you want to go out for a beer or something to eat in the area I am not sure, if there is lots to do, since I arrived late at night and had to leave early in the morning...

Liked: The staff are lovely. They are extremely helpful and look after you as if you were part of the family. It's the perfect place for a stop over in Lima. Very close to the airport. I recommend getting them to pick you up as the taxi's can be expensive.

Liked: Pickup service was great - our baggage was delayed and Victor waited an hour past our arrival time for us. The location is also great if you need somewhere to stay close to the airport. The hostel was clean and the WiFi worked.

Disliked: The hot water in the shower was only warm.

Liked: Great location near to the airport. Victor and Paulino helped us with pick up and drop off at the airport for our early morning flight to cuzco. Very affordable. Can be a little noisy in terms of clanking sounds but nothing abnormal for a dense neighborhood.

Disliked: Good if you want to stay near the airport but not a great location if you want to walk around or in terms of cultural heritage.

Liked: Very friendly staff, speak English and even walked you to the nearest currency exchanges and internet cafes. they helped us to get buses and taxis as well as negoitating a lower price in taxi fares. Clean rooms and feel belongings are very safe

Disliked: it was very quite and outside the main centre but was good to relax and very close to airport so good as a stop over

Liked: Stayed one night as we had an early flight out the next day. Perfect location for the airport. Found the staff and Victor very friendly and helpful and we even joined them for dinner which was great.Our room was spotless and we could not fault the service offered, especially for the price. We would definately stay again, thanks for a great stay.

Liked: El hostel esta atendido por sus dueños. Todos fueron muy amables, incluso compartieron su mesa con nosotros y atendieron nuestros requerimientos personalmente. El hostel esta cerca del aeropuerto.

Liked: The hostel had a very warm and welcoming feel to it. It is family run, and they ensured that whenever you needed a Taxi or information that they satisfied your needs! The location is not the safest location in Peru but they understood that and would walk to the store with you, or make sure a taxi picked you up from the hostel. The staff running the hostel were extremely helpful and friendly.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome and they assisted us with Taxis in to town and advice on places to go when we were there. We were made to feel very welcome.

Disliked: The location isn't that familiar with Taxi drivers in Lima, if they were aware how to get here and back then this would no longer be a problem, as the journey in to the city takes around 15mins when done correctly.

Liked: Nice family run business. I would stay here to use the airport, otherwise it is a biut out the way. The rooms are simple, but the price is superb

Disliked: A little noisy in the morning... think there was some construction going on.. but dont know for how long. and a rooster appeared from nowhere... totally bizarre

Liked: The staff here are brilliantly helpful, the place is spotless and secure.

Disliked: Bit hard to find so print out a map and directions for the cab.

Liked: It's close to the airport so perfect for late arrivals. Staff helpful even when your Spanish is basic

Disliked: Confusion over breakfast charge which was good but expensive. Make sure you check before taking their offer to cook. Won't accept dollars.

Liked: Near the airport and perfect for a cheap place to stay if you just want to sleep and catch a flight the next morning. Callao is not the nicest area, but the hostel is in a really quite place, spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful stay. For $9 for a double room with en-suite it is excellent value for money.

Liked: Paulino and Victor are like my cousin and uncle now! I have kept in communication with them and will probably continue to count them as my personal friends. Paulino is a caring soul who personally makes sure that his guests are comfortable, safe and happy. Victor is an energetic and intelligent young man who loves people and is studying for a career in the tourism industry. Their dedication to their guests and their community are some of the best things I like about Las Fresas.If you book a room there, tell them that "Lisa Peru" sent you!

Liked: I would recommend this place only if you are in transit at Lima, staff is the best, very helpful and kind. The hostel is cheap and clean but only for one night. Neighborhood is awful but is well located is you want to stay near to the airport.

Liked: The staff were great at arranging an airport pickup, and I cannot believe how nice the rooms were for the price! The staff were very helpful with helping us find public transport and went out of their way to assist us in getting to the bus.
