Liked: In ten months of travelling The Lighthouse has to be one of my top three favourite hostels. If you're looking for a quite, clean, chilled out place then come here. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is by the far the best we have had and Duncan and his staff are fantastic. Cannot recommend this place highly enough - if you come to Lima, come to Miroflores and stay here.

Liked: The hostal is very well located.

Disliked: The advanced payment was not considered by the owner when I arrived there and I had to pay all the total amount again. I had advanced US$ 10,20 and they ignored this advanced payment . In Cuzco the amount was considered as mentioned in the reservation. I didn't find it fare. I think that HostelBookers should pay attention to that.

Liked: Only stayed for a few hours of sleep between flights, but the staff was very helpful. the airport pick-up was a good value considering how expensive secure taxis can be.

Liked: This is a really lovely guesthouse that is so quiet and clean, really restful. The staff are super helpful and really lovely.

Liked: Good quiet and clean place to chill for a few days. Wifi is available in the bedrooms which are big and roomy. Good hot showers. Breakfast was great - scrambled eggs, nice fresh bread and juice.

Liked: It was great. The atmosphere in this Hostel was perfect. Very quite and clean. The rooms offer a great space and have the equipment of a hotel room. I really enjoyed staying there.

Disliked: The way to the centre of Miraflores was quite a bit. But still okay. It s about a 15min walk.

Liked: It has a nice patio. The supermarket is a 10 minute walk and you can use the kitchen. There's a TV in the room which is cool to have after so many months of travelling. Wifi works.

Disliked: I booked a single room, for the price it should have had an ensuite - it didn't and I got a single room but not with a single bed it had a single and a double bed - I guess the real single room was taken.

Liked: Lovely quiet little hostel, close to the restaurants in Miraflores, spotlessly clean, friendly manager who speaks perfect english AND eggs for breakfast!!

Liked: The Lighthouse is everything you could wish for in a hostel - we ended up staying for 4 days in total and loved it. It´s very clean, sheets and towels are changed every other day and bathrooms cleaned every day. The kitchen is well equipped with a big dining table (next to the very good book exchange), there is a lovely patio area to sit out and enjoy the Lima sun, and there is cable TV in the rooms, plus in the shared lounge area. Breakfast is lovely with rolls, jam and eggs, plus fresh pineapple juice. It has obviously been renovated with a lot of care and attention and is in great condition, plus is ideally located for exploring Miraflores and into the city centre. We would gladly recomend this hostel!
