Liked: The owner is very nice and very helpful. It's a homey place to stay in Lima. Hot water all the time. Nice relaxing area. Good location near the beach and Park Kennedy, but still very quiet street. Safety lockers inside rooms. Wi-fi worked very well.

Disliked: Rooms smelled quite bad and they were bit dirty. In the first room (4 people room) we stayed the toilet door could be shut and there were no window glass in the toilet or the sealing. The room with matrimonial bed was much better and very spacious.

Liked: very laid back and relaxed environment. owner is super nice, friendly, and very helpful!! the private double room is huge! overall, great place to stay in lima.

Liked: Very helpful owner. Willing to help you with anything. Great location in MiraFlores. Close to supermarkets and malls

Disliked: It's a one-man show so sometimes the owner has to go out and a lot of people/other travellers call.

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at Bluehouse. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accomidating to our early arrival time and let us store our bags and hang out for many hours after we had checked out. The wifi works unlike many hostels I have stayed at in Peru. The space was really comfortable and I felt quite at home.

Disliked: the common area is more of a covered patio set up than an actual room. It was still comfortable and a great area to hang out....put maybe a little damp. It wasn't a problem though.

Disliked: the cleanliness and the fact that the roof leaked and there doors to the bathroom didn't shut properly.

Liked: Really friendly staff, good information and organized also reasonable priced taxi (30 soles) to airport. Hostel is in good location between Kennedy park and shopping mall on beachside but could be in my opinion closer to Kennedy park. Really nice place to stay with reasonable cost.

Disliked: Could be a bit more clean in kitchen. Would be nice to have pickup from bus station for free as stated in web site but anyway taxis seems to find location pretty easily.

Liked: the atmosphere was excellent and the staff were very friendly. also it is located, more or less, in the centre of miraflores.

Disliked: would have been nice if the oven worked but the hob did so wasnt too big a problem.

Liked: The owner was extremely helpful and spoke good english. The brecfast was not alot just bread and tea but the owner did not mind when you ate it and also he made coffee, tea and other basic cooking ingredients avaliable all the time. The room was very big and comfortable, not what I expected for the small price we paided.

Disliked: The kitchen didn't have an oven but it had hobs and we were given great advise about where we could go out to eat quite cheaply.The shower leaked quite badly on the floor but the owner brought a towel to fix the problem straight away.

Liked: The owner is fantastic! I needed help in a foreign city and he went out of his way to help me! If you are arriving at the airport or bus station maybe call ahead and ask for him to arrange a collection - will definitely save you being ripped off by other taxi drivers in town!

Disliked: The rooms need a bit of TLC but they were comfortable and very clean.

Liked: friendly staff. very close to the shopping centre and all the restaurants/cafes/bars. great place to chill out and hang with other travellers. the owner was super friendly - could even have very late checkout.

Liked: This was a really good hostel, perfect location for a really good price and Quique, the owner, is the best host around! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, whether you´re staying for a couple of days or a few weeks!

Liked: Grand spot - a bit scruffy, but staff great, and location spot on - not too clean, but worth the money, to be in Miraflores, if thats where you want to be...Miraflores is an overly touristy area though, wouldnt stay in this area again myself, but would recommend this hostel otherwise.

Liked: We stayed here for one night in the double bed (matrimonial) room with private bathroom. Couples beware -- the only private room is very exposed to the communal living area. The electric showers function as well as most. The hostel was seemed slightly less clean than most we stayed at, we decided to use our sleepsacks to avoid the damp, marginally dirty looking sheets. The standout here is definitely the owner, who is probably the most helpful person we came across in all of South America. There is nothing he can't help you find/do, and for surfers (which we are) he'll let you take out boards for free from the hostel, and it's a short walk/hike down to the beach, with good waves. The dorms here looked pretty standard so I would definitely recommend this to solo or group travelers looking for dorms and a place to meet people, but for couples, skip it. There are some great hotels around town that generally offer a cash discount and are worth the extra splurge.

Liked: Placed few blocks from the lacro mar shopping mall and from the main things.The owner is an amazing character and let your stay here run smoothly. Though everything is nice, the room wasn?t clean but was cleaned when I asked to.Don't had hot water in shower when I needed, that's the only downside.Good worth for the money.
