Liked: The kindness of the family and their sure availability to organize any kind of program, be it a trek or a guided tour.

Disliked: nothing much.

Liked: The owners are all really friendly and helpful, the one day trek I did with them was really good and there was a free breakfast.

Disliked: There was no wifi.

Liked: Rooms were clean. Staff were friendly enough.

Disliked: Dogs outside barking all night every night at anyone who passes by. No wifi The guy selling the trekking ripped us off. Shop around for trekking don´t do it through the hostel.

Liked: The family running this hostel made the stay so enjoyable together with piping hot water and great breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful ( they went out of their way to sit down with us, draw maps and plan our trip on the santa cruz trek which we wanted to do on our own rather than through a company) even though they run there own tour facilities. Great place to rent equipment too.

Disliked: Location bit out of town but walkable to center and they do pick ups and drop offs to any station.

Liked: Staff are very helpful - when I needed to change my bus ticket after getting back later than expected from a trek I was driven to the bus station to get the change made.

Disliked: Nothing significant.

Liked: You feel like being in a family, they treat you like an own children. The father of the family picks you up and drives you to the bus station. Its great to relax there after a hike.

Disliked: I disliked that they charge you for everything. But it is ok for the price and they always tell you what they charge.

Liked: Owners are very friendly and helpful. They offer guided treks and tours. They make an effort to make people feel comfortable.

Disliked: It is several blocks to restaurants for dinner -- the best and most sanitary restaurants are along the main street near the cathedral plaza, which is about 7 blocks from the hostel. There are mototaxis and taxis, though.

Liked: Very nice staff, but not at the desk all that often so make sure you have their numbers in case you need to check-in/out or get in the hostel later at night. Clean and nice room and computers work quite well. Also gave some good tourism advice and maps.

Disliked: Wish the hostel was a little closer to the plaza and easier to find, but its still not too far and local shops oftentimes can tell you how to get there (also you can call to get picked up from the bus stop)

Liked: Free ride from/to the bus station. Nice tasty breakfast.

Disliked: You had to pay for every extra (kitchenuse, internet, movies), which is pretty annoying. Rexi (one of the owners) needs some time to warm up, but seems to be a nice guy. Just give him a chance...

Disliked: It´s a good hostel, but we booked a tour through the hostel, afterwards we had to pay for the showers. You have to pay for everything anyway, to use the kitchen.

Liked: Very good hostel! Stayed at the annex building, which is completely new and very clean. The hostel can help you organize trips to whatever. Good value for money!

Liked: Very friendly and helpfull staff. Location far enough away from the centre to reduce noise and near enough to walk into town. We stayed in the annex so we had a peaceful time. Excellent help with tours/treks from Rex. Good breakfast and pleasant views to the mountains. Great value for money.

Liked: The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We even got a lift to the bus terminal! However, book direct with them as we discovered their walk-in prices were lower than hostelbookers. However, this may not be the case after the issue was resolved satisfactorilly.

Liked: Great hostel, staff so so friendly and helpful. All the information you need on the area, recommended companies etc. Stayed in private room, shared bathrrom, good size, comfortable bed and stunning views over the river and mountins. Delicious breakfast and outdoor patio, again with amazing views. Internet is 1 sol per hour and has skype, webcams etc, cinema on top floor with good selection of films. Even get a lift from the bus station. Definitely recommend!

Liked: The staff are helpful, and even gave us a lift to the bus station after our stay. The 4 day tour on offer was amazing and I would recommend it to all. The breakfast was great with a suprise treat each day, pancakes, fresh jucies, omlettes, etc....Also a good place to meet other travellers. Thanks a bunch Caroline, Rex, Anita, Theo and Cocqui
