Important:
Warning of a well organized scam! If you travel with Cruz del Sur to Huaraz, you will be attacked as soon as you get off the bus. People working for the very unreliable Jhonny Tours will try to bring you to ANY hostel but Caroline Lodging. These people get paid commission for every night you stay in one of the hostels listed in their brochure.
They will also try to sell you overpriced tours and trekking. This is a well organized scam INSIDE the bus terminal of Cruz del Sur. We don’t pay these people so our place is not recommended by them. Instead, our hostel becomes: far away, full, dirty, unfriendly. Please do NOT believe any words of these people. They make even fake phone calls to check our (un)availability. Inside the terminal of Cruz del Sur they have parked their blue car/van which is paid by tourists commission. Don’t get aboard their minibus. (Other options from Lima: Z-Buss, Cial, Movil Tours, Rodriques, Cavassa and Julio Cesar to get to Huaraz.

Our hostel will offer you an economic stay with a feel like home atmosphere.

Starting with a free pick up from the bus terminals in Huaraz we serve breakfast on our rooftop terrace, which is included in your room price.

Not included are the use of Internet (1 hr 1 sol, 30mins 0.50 sol). Kitchen use is one sol per person when you are willing to use the gas. Hot water is available the whole day for making tea, coffee or soup. On our fifth flour you will find our mini-cinema where you can enjoy the best movies available, one sol a person. Laundry service available for 4 soles a kilo. Book exchange 1 for 1 and also books for rent.

This is an unbelievable friendly hostel in Huaraz. Recommended in different guidebooks.

This is an unbelievable friendly and cheap hostel in Huaraz. If you go to Huaraz, you must have stayed with the family of Caroline.

Accommodation Information

The main building has 9 dorm rooms. Two dorm rooms sleep up to 4 people and the rest sleep between 5 and 7. There are also 5 private rooms, 3 with shared bathroom and 2 with private bathroom. Rooms are furnished with tables, hooks and bedside tables and have comfortable beds with thick blankets. Bathrooms have 24hr hot showers. A separate annex offers 3 newly built private rooms with modern furnishing, all with private bathrooms in a more private environment.
Breakfast is included in the overnight price and includes unlimited tea/coffee, bread and jam plus an extra surprise daily addition (eg pancake, omelette, juice smoothie). Kitchen facilities are available for use at a charge of S1.00 per person (for the use of the gas).
