Liked: So many things! It was really clean, the wifi was stable, there was a large common area with movies, the beds were comfy, and the shower had AMAZING water pressure...best shower we took in our two months in Peru. Also, the staff was super friendly, especially Amy...she called the bus station for us, got us a cab on two occasions, spoke good English, and generally went above and beyond the call of duty. Would highly recommend staying here.

Liked: Very lovely friendly staff. Good breakfast included. Wondeful hot and powerful shower. Beautiful roof terrace. All round excellent facilities.

Disliked: The dorm room itself was cramped ... but there was a seprate area for bags and changing just before the spacious bathroom so cant really complain too much!

Liked: I never had a hostel with both extremely comfortable beds (I often woke up thinking I was at home!) and such a nicely equipped kitchen. They had an oven, a blender, microwave, etc... really good for people who want variety in their cooking. The showers were hot, there was a surround sound system in the living room with a book full of DVD´s, and the breakfast was pancakes in the week and fresh fruits in the weekend!! Everything is so clean and so new, I felt like we were in total luxury. I really enjoyed my stay here. The location might not be exactly in the center of Cusco, but it is more quiet and it has a nice cheap supermarket close to it.

Disliked: Our room was located under the bar, and sometimes we´d hear billard balls falling on the floor, but it wasn´t that bad.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the guys from the hostel bar also fun company. That was one of the reasons, the atmosphere was so nice. The other reason was the look of the hostel, which was more like a private house - very nice to hang out. The pancake breakfast is amazing: crispy thin pancakes with cut up fruit and as much maple sirup as you wish for! Booked for four nights and ended up staying there for nearly two weeks.

Disliked: While we were there (over New Years 2010/11) a lot of (loud) construction work was going on next door, where the hostel owner builds a few more rooms. He reduced the prices of the rooms close by though and stopped the construction workers from working on New Years. Location is not perfect, but you reach everything you need within a ten minute walk.

Liked: Place was clean and showers were good and very hot in my room. Breakfast was very good.

Disliked: Did not seem greatly organised with bookings, took a while to actually pay for the room and right amount. Was trying to be charged full amount again by hostel. In end all sorted. I would not book any tours through agency hostel recommend. We did and lots of tour was not as described.

Liked: Good kitchen. Great beds and best shower I've had in south America. Staff were lovely. Bit far out of centre though. Good place to chill out. No lockers in rooms. Great pancake brekkie.

Liked: Great location in Cusco, safe without feeling like a tourist (as in plaza de arms). The staff are fantastic and really nice. The owner even takes you out for beers at cusco pubs. Al tough there{s a bar, it{s really chill and good for just meeting new people. As a solo traveler who's first stop on his trip was Cusco, I definitely recommend this place

Liked: I had a great time here. The beds and rooms are big and the staff keep the place amazingly clean. The owner cares about his guests and makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves. I strongly reccomend SC if you are staying in Cuzco,

Liked: Everybody from the staff was incredibly nice to us which made the stay at this hostels very pleasant. Its a great place to meet people and the facilities are among the best we found in Peru. Its not the cheapest hostel but it is a good value for money.. (They serve incredible Pisco Sauer)!

Liked: New computer with internet access. Breakfast standard white bread and tea or nescafe. Desk attendants friendly, but not exceptionally helpful with coordinating any day trips, etc. Showers and toilets kept very clean at all times. Nice people and community, but not loud party atmosphere. Comfy beds with very warm blankets for the colder Cusco nights. Clean kitchen and refrigerator. Not in the cleanest or prettiest part of town, but felt safe. Taxis cost up to 3 soles if you decide to taxi all the time. Plus, there is supermarket nearby where you can by 2.5 liter water for less than 2 soles to stay hydrated.

Liked: About a 15 walk from the main square. Clean rooms, breakfast needs improvement. Great place to meet people, as there is a fair sized lounge and drink specials in the evening.

Liked: A nice hostel, about 10-15 mins walk from the main plaza. Loved the hammocks out the back :) Brekky was good and it was handy having a nice big kitchen. Beds were good and bathroom was fine, but no hot water. Staff were very helpful and nice.

Liked: Very clean hostel. Beds have nice new clean linen, changed every few days. Good spacious kitchen. Showers could have been hotter. Internet was a bit slow. Be careful of taxi drivers on a backhander telling you that the area is unsafe and how they could take you to much safer hotel right in the centre. This place is totally safe.

Liked: Southern Comfort is run by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its an entertaining place with a bar and pool table, great for meeting people. The rooms are very nice and far enough away from the common area so that they are quite at night. The staff there knows everything you need to about Cuzco, places to eat, good trekking companies, outdoor adventures etc. My friends and I loved this place. Thanks a lot.
