Liked: Although the staff was friendly and it seemed like a cool place to stay, we had a poor experience. We booked a reservation about 6 weeks prior and when we showed up they said our room was already filled and we were transferred to the "sister" hostel down the road with NO hot water, NO heat, NO common space, NO internet, basically no ammenities and very loud construction going on right outside our window. We were annoyed, freezing, even further away from the town square (up a HUGE hill), and even though we could come back to the WalkOn Inn and use the ONE computer and showers, it was such an inconvenience in the middle of winter that we would never stay here again or recommend it. The staff was friendly, and as long as they don't lose your reservation you should be ok. Although it is a significant uphill walk from the square, so location is not so good.

Liked: The friendly staff gave excellent info on what to see and do locally and the hostel itself was clean and tidy, although a bit noisy in some of the dorms early in the morning when staff came to work. All in all a great place and Id stay again!

Liked: The cleanest hostel we have stayed in during our 5 months in South America. The best part was the staff though - Arwen and Mark were particulalry helpful. We were given all information we needed and nothing was too much trouble. We had a problem with a tour we booked and the staff could not have been more helpful or supportive in resolving this. We would definitely recommend staying at this hostel and booking any tours through them.

Liked: best hostel in south america!!!! they cleaned the bathroom 3 times per day. I've never seen such a clean hostel. The staff is very nice and helpful. I can totally recommend this place

Liked: This place was very secure, EXTREMELY CLEAN and cozy which was great. Fast internet, cozy atmosphere, quiet, very clean bathrooms with constant hot showers and hot water in the sink, wood burning stove in the central area which was great. The Coca tea was awesome and the room was great. We stayed in a private double which was really nice. My only complaint about this hostel is that it was ABSOLUTELY FREEEEEEEEZING at night. I mean seriously, I was wearing 2 sweaters, a wool scarf, long pants and socks to sleep in. I had to ask for 2 extra wool blankets on top of it! When you are trying to deal with altitude sickness, this really blows. It is also on the top of a hill above the main plaza and the hike up will leave you BEYOND winded. Really tough at times considering there is 30% oxygen in the air up there. Also, the mattresses were pretty bad - just foam covered in fabric so it was like sleeping on a wooden board which was a shame because the hostel was so well taken care of and put together. We wondered why they skimped on the mattresses. But this should no longer be a problem, as they were moving in new mattresses on the EXACT DAY we were checking out. Overall good, but if you are going in the winter months, get ready to be cold. No heat whatsoever.

Liked: I cannot rate this hostel higly enough! Aside from having a great location, (less than 5 mins from the main plaza), a beautiful little centralised patio, coca tea on tap for those suffering from altitude, being spotless & cosy, the higlight has to be Louise and her staff who are absolutely fantastic. I've never staryed in a hostel where the staff have been so helpful and genuine before. Louise's knowledge of not only Cusco itself but the towns and activities surrounding it are brilliant, she pretty much sorted my next two weeks of travelling out for me without hestitation or bother. This place is just what you need if you're looking for a nice, safe, relaxed hostel. Thanks WalkOn Inn for everything!

Liked: Really nice hostel. The room was more like a hotel room than a hostel. Very clean. Great breakfast. Nice common room for chilling out, watching TV etc, but not really a party hostel.

Liked: Is a small great place. Didn't have a bar or party, but is close enought to the main square to hang out walking. I definitively recommend it.

Liked: Spacious clean rooms and bathrooms and room in bathrooms for toiletries etc - an unusual hostel feature! Free airport pick-up very welcome. Marc and the staff cannot do enough to help. The best hostel we've stayed in in over 8 months. Could we make a plea for better pillows though!

Liked: This place is absolutely clean. It looks as if there is some one cleaning the bathrooms continuously, full time. The tours they arranged for me were very, very good, and comparing with other travellers, were a real bargain. Probably the best place I've been to in South America.
