Liked: A quiet hostel. The free airport pickup was good. The laundry service was good. The people, who worked there spoke varying amounts of English, but were friendly and helpful and they all spoke at least a little English. The showers worked fine while I was there. Sometimes it took a minute for the water to warm up, but that was it. The rooms were clean. They stored my luggage in a secure room while I was away on tours. The reception was staffed at all times (or occasionally the person was somewhere nearby), so even though you had to ask to be let in and out that never took very long.

Disliked: The internet did not work in the rooms and only worked to a limited extent on my laptop in the communal areas. It was weird I managed to make a Skype call, but it wouldn't load hotmail or Facebook or quite a few other sites. Fortunately there was one desktop computer there I could use and that was slow, but actually worked. They lock the kitchen/TV room/desktop computer room overnight, but they did unlock it for me, when I wanted to check my email. It could be a good idea to have signs for stuff that might not be obvious to some tourists, such as that the used toilet paper goes in the bin next to the toilet.

Disliked: As soon as we entered the staff bombarded us with questions about what tour we wanted when and they wouldnt leave us alone about it for more than 5 minutes. We eventually did book 1 tour with them out of convenience, but this was not well organised (no guide when we arrived for example, had to find our own way). Also, in the hostel the breakfast is only half included, you have to pay for eggs and/or juice. Wifi in the room was not available.

Liked: Felt safe, welcoming and secure. The room was quiet even though it was close to the hub of nightlife.

Disliked: A great big skylight in my room, it wasn't great being woken up at 5am by the light streaming through!

Liked: The showers are warm, almost hot. And the breakfast is till 11 o'clock.

Disliked: The private bathroom didn't exist and there were animals in the room.

Liked: Our attic room was very nice, good views over the rooftops of Cusco. Located within 10 minutes walk of the Plaza de Armas, and the street has a couple of good restaurants and a bar with live music. Staff were quite helpful - we moved room after the first night, as the room by the front door was a little noisy, but it wasn't a problem. Shared bathrooms were clean, and showers were excellent.

Disliked: A little quiet - we only saw a handful of other people.

Liked: The hostel has a great facilities, a very friendly staff with a reliable agent for small local tours to Sacred Valley etc. The room we had (deluxe double) had a private balcony, view of the city, hot water whenever we needed it and a massive ensuite!! Looking around, it was very competitive. Would highly recommend this room!!

Disliked: Slightly uphill from the main square, but that's stretching

Liked: Quiet and clean.

Disliked: Very high commission for the tours booked in the hostel (people in our group who booked the tour in other agencies paid 30% less) When we booked bus tickets, we paid for the more expensive bus tickets and we received cheaper tickets for another bus, without money refund! Don´t go there if you want to meet people.

Liked: Amazing hostel, friendly staff, nice garden and tv lounge. Free coffee (REAL!) and te all day!

Disliked: Nothing! But it is not a massive party place like Loki - still easy to meet people tho!

Liked: Clean rooms and bathrooms.Comfortable beds. Good breakfast, which includes eggs cooked fresh. Good location, close to centre of town and in a quiet neighbourhood, perfect for recharging prior to the Inca Trek. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. My wife was sick and the hostel arraged for an english speaking doctor to come to the hostel.

Disliked: Our stay was during a period of time where Cusco only had water between 5am and 9am, so sometimes having a shower or being able to flush the toilet was a no-no and our room did face the street which tended to get very noisy early in the morning, but other than that there was hot water for showers and the service was great

Liked: We were given the "matrimony suite" and it had a tremendous view of the city. We were up at very early hours, but the staff was happy to let us take our portion of the breakfast each morning. The staff was very helpful, though my partner spoke Spanish and I am unsure of their knowledge of English. We also got a free ride from the airport.

Disliked: When we got to the hostel from the airport, the gentleman who picked us up was very pushy in trying to get us to sign up for expensive tourist buses to other cities and the Sacred Valley.

Liked: Good location, excellent price for Cusco despite what the other comments say. The rooms are quiet, the best room is number 9. Really great breakfast.

Disliked: The showers weren't great. The internet was abysmal, that might not be their fault.

Liked: Amazing staff, very friendly and made great breakfasts. We stayed here twice and the double room with ensuite is awesome. Great views of Cusco at night, one of the nicest hostels we´ve stayed at. They also picked us up from the bus depot for free which was greatly appreciated.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Perfect for what we wanted - a calm, clean relaxing stay after a four day trek to Machu Picchu. the staff are really helpful too.

Liked: Good kitchen, big rooms, comfy sofas, nice location. We stayed at both Samay Wasi 1 and 2 and although the beds were comfier and the shower better at 1 we felt that 2 had a better atmosphere.
