You´ll find Pirwa Colonial Backpackers Hostel ideally located just two blocks from Cusco’s Main Square in walking distance from quality markets, restaurants, and cafes, as well as fascinating monuments and museums for the daytime and lively clubs and bars for the night.

It was a 16th century colonial home owned by the niece of Conquistador Francisco Pizarro (the mestizo daughter of Pizarro`s brother and a woman offered by Huayna Capac as part of a payment intended to keep the Spanish from sacking Cusco) but has gone through many permutations over the centuries.

Now it’s a backpackers` community facilitating cultural interchange between intrepid travelers from all over the world. With a variety social areas including an open-air courtyard with BBQ grill, a TV and movie lounge with pool and ping pong tables, dartboards, an in-house bar and fast food stand, you`ll find plenty of opportunities to mingle, relax, and trade travel tales.
