Liked: the owner was just fabulous. She sorted out my computer. Loaned as towels for colca canyon aswell as booking the trip. Could not rate this lady enough.

Liked: The owner is VERY helpfull, the breakfast was really good (fruits, cereals, bread, milk, juices, jam, ham, cheese, coffee, tea, etc.), it's very clean with big rooms and bathrooms. Very recommanded.

Liked: Die Eigentümerin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schön. Positiv überrascht waren wir vom Frühstücksbuffet. Kann man auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Disliked: Nichts. Es war toll.

Liked: Just amazing! Clean, hot water, very comfortable. I arrived and had a huge problem with my backpack because there was a motor oil leak at the bus from Puno (Julsa bus company) and my bag and plenty of my clothes inside got wasted. The owner of the place offered herself to wash everything. I went to check after about an hour, and I saw her handwashing some of my stuff!! I could not believe it. She was working on it for many hours. The next morning she came and said that it had been impossible to remove the oil stains, and she refused to charge me any extra money for it. I guess this is one of the best examples to explain how helpful and friendly the staff at Casa los Pinguinos are!

Liked: We liked everything at Casa de los Pinguinos and enjoyed our stay very much. The owner and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. the rooms are very clean and spacious, with cable tv, hot shower, Wifi... Breakfast is great and you can eat as much as you like (bread, cereals, fruits, juices, coffee, tea...) We wanted to stay 2 nights, at the end we stayed 8 days. its just a great place!!

Liked: Very clean property with all necessary amenities. Alex (the owner) will make you feel at home and was very helpful with travel/tour advice in and around Arequipa. Breakfast was fantastic, outdoor area relaxing, and location close enough to the Plaza de Armas, but far enough to be away from the hustle/bustle.

Liked: Excellent hostel with a friendly and helpfull staff. Room are comfortable and super clean. The breakfast was very good. Nice terrace to relax.

Disliked: 5 blocks from downtown ... but taxi are cheap in Arequipa

Liked: This is a fantastic place to stay! Everyone was incredibly helpful, gave great tips and honest opinions and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. It is also spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast is phenomenal (peanut butter!!). The best place to stay in Peru!

Liked: Great hostel, one of the nicest I have stayed in in South America. I arrived early in the morning but was still able to get my room and was given breakfast. The owner and her staff are really friendly and VERY helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious, very comfy beds-excellent!

Liked: The best hostel we stayed during our vacation in Peru! Very nice staff, very clean, spacious room and bathroom, wi-fi, car park, nice breakfast included, just few minutes walk from Arequipa city centre, hot water.

Liked: Immaculate guest house with an owner which goes out of her way to help those staying and excellent staff helping her. A safe 10min walk to the main square. We love this place and keep going back every time we are in Arequipa. Would not hesitate in recommending to others.

Liked: Most friendly and helpful staff that go above and beyond to help. Happy to organise anything for you, including spanish classes, take away and bus tickets. Very accommodating. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent DVD collection.
