La Casa de los Pinguinos

La Casa de los Pinguinos has opened its doors in Octuber 2007. The Dutch/Peruvian owners offer a variety of facilities to make sure your stay will be enjoyable.

The hostel is a three story building in a safe area within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. All nine rooms have cable TV, wireless internet and private bathroom with 24 hours hot water.

The ground floor contains a bar and lounge to relax and on the second floor there is a living area where you can watch DVDs of your choice or use our book exchange. There are also some games.
New since September : Kitchen facilities, we now offer guests the use of a kitchen in the bungalow in the garden.

Location Information

Although the hostel is situated in the centre of town there is a spacious garden with hammocks, table tennis table and sitting area to enjoy.
There is a free secure garage for cars, motorbikes (inside, out of sun) or bicycles.

Spanish Cafe Arequipa is a language school that operates in the garden. There are many courses to choose from or you can opt for just a 2 hour lesson to practice your Spanish.
