Located just 5 minutes from the very heart of Arequipa, Bothy is a cool place to hang out! It's a basic but very cozy hostel with friendly English speaking staff, ideal for meeting other travelers! We can also help you organize tours and give all the cool tips about the town!

Bothy Hostel is a perfect place for any backpackers, located in a safe street just 5 minutes from the spectacular Plaza de Armas and only 2 minutes from Arequipa’s bustling nightlife.

NOTE: Our staff can recommend the best of Arequipenian s bars and clubs, and on some nights we can arrange a guided group bar crawl. The Hostel has no curfew and no lockout, so you can party until you drop and know you can get back in to your room whatever the hour!

We have a common roof top terrace with hammocks, chairs and a table which is a great place for travelers to socialize and meet people and of course take spectacular views of the surrounding volcanoes and little villages! There is also a common DVD room where you can a wide selection of movies is offered. Or you can chill out on the courtyard or in the bar where you can order your drinks. Breakfast is served in the bar area from 7:30 until 10:30 every day. Free Internet service is included or you can benefit from free WiFi in case you are traveling with your laptop. We will do all your laundry for just a small fee. You can store your personal things and valuables in lockers placed close to our reception. For a little fee we offer book exchange.

For girls we offer a little beauty saloon with mirrors and offer rental of hair dryers and hair strengtheners! So just get yourself ready for the party!

We offer simple but comfortable accommodation and of course we pay extreme attention to cleanliness of all rooms and bathrooms at all times. Bathrooms are shared for all our guests and there is always hot water from solar heating system and electric as well in case there is no sun. Our reasonable prices allow you to access all the services in the hostel!

Despite doing our best to keep Bothy Hostel clean at all times we would like to ask our guests to respect the premises as well since we have faced some property intolerance in the past.

The easiest way to get to Bothy is by taxi. Please be aware of taxi drivers as they might try to bring you to another hostel saying that they didn’t know Bothy. They would make various excuses just want their commission. Therefore always insist you want to be taken to Bothy, please.

If you arrive at the airport, the average price is 15 soles.

If you arrive by bus, don’t pay more than 4 – 5 soles from the Bus Terminal. In case you are charged more, note the license number please. There are rules for a fair price at the Terminal and the drivers are well-aware of them.

We are an official booker for Land Adventures which offers Colca Canyon trek tours, downhill biking or climbing to Chachani or Misti. They also offer combo tours and offer tailored tours as well.
