Koala Hostel is a friendly family run hostel in the heart of beautiful Arequipa. We aim to make your stay in Arequipa as comfortable and convenient as possible making it a home away from home with all the modern comforts.
The Koala Hostel has a laid back and comfortable atmosphere, set in a traditional courtyard style house only minute from the centre of Arequipa. The hostel is perfect for relaxing on the sun-drenched terrace, browsing the internet with our free access or watching the latest movies in our lovely TV Room.
Genuinely friendly owners and staff are here to make your stay in Arequipa a memorable one. With experienced guides on staff we can organize and book any tours in the Arequipa region and provide any information or assistance required. We are only too happy to help!
And for the party people, remember, we have no curfew!
Our central location in the heart of Arequipa means you are minutes from all the main attractions of The White City. The Convento de Santa Catalina, the Museo Santuarios Andinos and the beautiful Plaza de Armas are all within 5 minutes walk. The Koala Hostel is just around the corner from all Arequipa´s best restaurants and bars on Calle San Francisco, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores.
Attractive wooden floorboards and high ceilings give the rooms an airy old-style feel. The Koala Hostel offers a wide range of accommodations from dorm rooms to double rooms with private bathrooms. Comfortable beds covered with warm blankets guarantee a good night’s sleep to all. The rooms come with or without private bathrooms, all bathrooms come with showers that have an endless supply of hot water, just the thing after a hard days trekking!
