Liked: Fernando made you feel extremely welcome and we had a really good laugh. He's really honest and when we arrived (we booked 2 dormbeds) he gave us a private room for the same price. That's hospitality! If you ever wanted to know something about trekkings, Colca Canyon or Arequipa, he was always willing to tell you something about it. And the other 2 employees, Dennis and Mariebelle (don't know her name exactly anymore) were as friendly as Fernando. We really would recommend this place to everybody. Especially because of the location, atmosphere and friendliness.

Disliked: The showers weren't always as hot but it was okay.

Liked: Super hostel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and as the hostel wasn't full, they gave me a single room even though I booked a dorm for no extra charge. Great location 2 minutes from the main square. The tour of the Colca Canyon was similarly a good price and definitely comes recommended.

Liked: Early check in which is handy with night buses arriving early in the morning. Location, two blocks from the main plaza! Tours on offer at the hostel were cheaper then elsewhere.

Liked: The price was def. right!! Location is just two blocks off the Plaza de Armas and close to grocery store and restaurants. Staff were very helpful in answering question about touring Colca Canyon and where to eat cheaply nearby.

Disliked: There was no hot water, their book exchange was virtually non-existent and their kitchen is about the size of a small closet. You had to beg for a towel.

Liked: The caretaker of the place as mentioned in other reviews speaks English and is extremely friendly. The showers are very hot and good. The patio has a view of the mountains and the Plaza de Armas (3 blocks away). Our room had one bunk bed (twin size.) The room was very small and cramped although there was a balcony (Which you had to climb through the bunk bed to reach.) Worth the money (35 soles a night for 2 people in the room)

Liked: The staff was great. They were very helpfull! Our room was good. We had a double with ensuite and cable t.v! I would reccomend this hostel as the location was great and it's great value for money!

Liked: Great location and incrediably helpful manager - simply brilliant. kitchen is not the best you can pick up good food for pennies just up the street. We stayed in a double room which has a shared balcony, unfortunately for us the night we stayed the hostel was full and we were treated to a strangled cat restling with a guitar all night - he and his friends left the following day - think we were just unlucky - worth staying here if you don't rely on kitchen facilities

Liked: The hostel is ok, comfortable but not too interesting to meet people and there are almost none common areas, so you practically don't have the opportunity to meet other guests other than at the computer area. Also, there is only one computer and i find it insufficient to the amount of guests of the hostel. In all it is reccomendable since it is very near the centre, the staff is very very nice and helpfull and it is a comfortable place to stay and relax. Not for party seekers.

Liked: Great staff, nice rooms, amazing location. Kitchen is small and there are only 2 spoons, 2 knives, and 1 fork. Dorms have no locking doors. Kind of scary leaving valuables around but I had no problems at all.

Liked: location was excellent. friendly and helpful owners. a little bit noisy at night. the kitchen was very small so not great if you want to self cater. overall i would recommend it as it was value for money.
