Liked: There is a pool and two well equiped kitchens

Disliked: Unfortunately the owner does not have a sign at all (not even a little sign "Michelle" or something like that on the door bell) nor a house number - so we just randomly rang the door bell to ask after checking google maps... (the map provided does not help). The pickup offered from the airport is by far too expensive (35 USD), you can get a taxi for 15-25 USD. Regarding cleaningness: some rooms smell mouldy. Overall, they try to clean (at least the surface) quite often. Not sure if it is the safest place to stay, the front gate lock was broken but no one cared... Overall we did not really feel comfortable at this place - the owner was a bit strange (money, money, money), although she explained where the next supermarket is and even called (free of charge) when the huge ships pass the miraflores locks... We spent a lot on taxi as there are no cool restaurants to go to nearby. We booked quite late so the choice was rather limited. If there are other nice choices available, better go somewhere else...

Liked: Clean and two full kitchens available, pool, easy to meet people if you are travelling alone

Disliked: There are several long-term "guests" that have been living there for several months, and they play loud music and party in the courtyard all night long at least on the weekend when we were there - earplugs help but if you are sensitive to noise, not a good place to stay; very expensive airport pick-ups which are not recommended; musty smelling rooms at least if you have a room that is in one of the side buildings, also you can hear everything from the adjacent rooms; place is very far out of the city and you will spend a lot of money on cab fare; owner is a tad eccentric and always wants to be paid up front, and gets wasted with the long-term guests...

Liked: Villa Michelle is a gorgeous home and is kept very clean. It was probably the cleanest hostel we have stayed in during our 3 months in Costa Rica (and weekend in Panama). The AC in our bedroom was awesome and the linens were very clean.

Disliked: The home and hostel owner was not very welcoming, nor friendly. It was hard to get a hold of her by phone to get directions to the place. It has no sign indicating it is Villa Michelle, so if you do decide to stay here, make sure you get detailed directions (the map she sends you does not help). All in all we didn't feel very comfortable staying at Villa Michelle, e.g. the owner nagged us about cleaning up after ourselves in the kitchen when we hadn't made the mess. The location is also very bad. As far as I know, it is not technically in Panama City. We spent about $40 on cabs during the 3 days we were there. And it says it is a Bed & Breakfast, but there is no breakfast.

Liked: Very nice, safe place, great backyard, kitchen and veranda, staff is nice and helpfull, you feel home immediately, but it's a bit expensive. Would still recommend it. As some others have written, it's far away from the city, but buses (0,25$) run every minute from Av. Espana and take 20 minutes.

Liked: Truly enjoyed the friendliness of the owner and the williness to accomodate us. Very good hostess and swimming pool.

Disliked: Rooms needed to towels available daily, especially sinces there is a swimming pool.

Liked: Villa Michelle is a nice place to stay in Panama City and Ivonne and Michelle are very helpful hosts. The villa is located in a secure area with 2 small minimarkets, 2 restaurants, laundry and an ATM, in walking distance (5 min). A bigger supermarket/commercial center (el Rey) is about 20 min away. In order to get to Casco Viejo or to the bus station (Albrook) you have to get a taxi.Alternatively Yvonne can arrange a city tour (Casco Viejo, Canal, Causeway) with private taxi (we liked it - thanks Ariel) as well as other trips and also the transfer from the airport. If you are driving on your own the place may be a bit difficult to find. If you are lost, ask for the Waikiki restaurant - Villa Michelle is 300 m away. The outside area with pool is great to relax, read etc. Breakfast is not included but you can use one of the 2 fully equipped kitchens.Thanks & best regards A & K

Liked: Pues en realidad todo en si... el ambiente es muy bueno, es practicamente como que estuvieras en tu casa, me gusta que esta ubicado en una zona segura y centrica de panama... les recomiendo que visiten Villa Michelle es una muy buena opcion para pasar las vacaciones y conocer panama, no tendran problema alguno ya que se respira en un ambiente de absoluta paz en ese lugar... tuvimos una buena experiencia en villa michelle y espero que ustedes tambien la tengan.

Liked: We enjoyed the hospitality of the mother and daughter who did their best to make our first visit to Panama a pleasnet experience. They helped us through a couple of situations that could have turned our trip into a diaster. When we visited Panama we were not expecting to do much except visit the Canal. and rest a bit. Because of them our trip turned out to be a lot more interesting than it would have been if we had not had there recommendations. We would love to visit Panama again and would certainly stay at Via Michelle.

Liked: We loved this place. It was very cute and comfortable. Yovanne was more then accommodating as well. The outside space was awesome. You had to take a taxi most places with only a few close restrauants.

Liked: Our hosts Ivonne and Michelle were great from start to finish. Michelle picked us up at the airport at 3:00AM and Ivonne helped us navigate the city and called taxis when we had to take longer treks out into the country. We enjoyed the stay and loved meeting with the other guests at Villa Michelle. The atmosphere was very friendly and you'll never be able to interact with other travelers as we did at Villa Michelle. We were traveling with our two girls and they had a great time in the pool. I'll be back again for sure.

Liked: Villa Michelle is a great place to stay in Panama City. It is quite, clean, has a nice atmosphere and a lot of fresh air comes from the nearby park (which is a great thing as Panama City can get really sticky). The owner is very helpful and we enjoyed staying at the pool, reading and cooking in the well equiped kitchen. Compared to typical hostels in Casco Viejo it is by far more comfortable staying in Villa Michelle, especially as there isn´t a constant wall of sound from the cranked up soundsystems of somebody in the neighbourhood.

Liked: The matresses were brand new, and is was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The curtains were dark enough to keep the light out for long sleep ins. It was extremely quiet in the neighbourhood during the weekend. There is a fantastic Peruvian restaurant nearby. The Villa is very cozy, and the TV is great.
