Customer reviewThe place is small, cozy, trustworthy. Sure, only one employee speaks English but I had trouble when I got here. I never received a reservation number from HostelBookers but yet the credit card was charged. I spent an hour deliberating with a worker who couldn't speak any English on the day I was supposed to check in. After being here for a while, I got more comfortable and put up with the language barrier. The employees are all very nice people, never sour, always positive. Plus I thought $16 for a private room in this part of town was a good deal. |

ashley hooperNothing spectacular, but can't beat the price. Staff is very helpful and accommodating (spoke english well). Our room was open to the outside, which sucked as far as noise is concerned and also provided a route for bugs to enter though not many did. |

Douglas Peterson CarpenterIt was cheap and in the heart of Old Panama City, San Felipe Barrio. Too close to dangerous neighbourhoods but the hostel itself was safe. Really rustic, nice rooftop and balconies. No place to go after dark unless you took a taxi. I do recommend it but only for the experienced hosteler/traveler. Great staff, cheap beer. |

Customer reviewthis place is a great place once u get there...the people there are exceptional...not sure about the area at night though...that being said...the owner and staff (the argentinian boy) has been extremely nice and helpful and have gone out of their way a million times to make sure i have a private rooms as these are high seasons and all the room was highly booked. I was very lucky that the owner ended up offering me a studio apartment for the same rate. three blocks away. with bed, table, kitchen, fridge, private bathroom...i was so so so so comfy that it almost feel like home (waking up in the middle of the night thinking why isnt my room look the same, etc). the security however in panama in general is quite horrid at night...so remember to take taxi only !!! |

Annie TrinhReally good bang for your buck. The good points: wifi, free towels, location, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The low points: there are no distinct common areas, so its a bit hard trying to meet people. But overall, I was happy with my stay. I will definitely go back there when I am back in Panama City. |

Customer reviewThe staff were brilliant, good local knowledge, helped sort out our trip to san blass, and when we had problems with our flights and had to stay extra nights they did everything possible to fit us in. Only negative is the lack of adequate seats in the communal area. |

Customer reviewAmazingly friendly atmosphere, In centre of beautiful old colonial part of town (in process of being renovated), Manager speaks english, did have occasional trouble with water/shower and some noise from renovation of building next door but excellent value, location and atmosphere ! |
