Casa Verde offers several amenities designed to make your stay with us more comfortable and convenient.

Casa Verde is located over the water in beautiful Bocas del Toro, Panama. Located on the main island 'Isla Colon', we are two houses from the ferry dock, near great restaurants, down the street from legendary bars, and within walking distance to everything that Bocas has to offer. In fact, because of our waterfront location, it's even common to have the tour boats pick you up right from your backyard!

The kitchen at Casa Verde is famous for the best intimate BBQ's and pre-party gatherings on the islands. You'll love swimming off the dock and snorkeling just below your waterfront room in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Enjoy breakfast swinging in the hammock that hangs just under our funky little Tiki Hut. Enjoy the iPod stereo, community computer, filtered drinking water, BBQ pit, outdoor shower, snorkeling right under the deck, count starfish, spot a stingray, or get some quality sleep in an air conditioned bed with orthopedic mattress. It's more like a house, and we call it 'Your new home in Bocas del Toro, Panama!'

Our property has incredible sunset views of the Bay of Almirante, Bocas Boat Marina, and the mountains of the mainland - including Panama's highest peak, Volcan Baru.

We're right near the language school 'Spanish by the Sea'. Our house is not a “party house” per se. It's a place where you have privacy and can stay for a while- your home away from home. We want you to have a great time, but please considered us a refuge where you can get a good night's sleep in a safe place with beautiful ocean views. Noise should be kept to a minimum inside the rooms during daytime hours, and the Tiki Hut should be utilized late at night for all after-partying.

All rooms have air-conditioning, fans and mini-refrigerators as well as access to our high speed wi-fi. Private doubles for $30, waterfront rooms with 2 double beds (price based on occupancy, $40 for 2, $45 for 3 and $50 for 4), Dorm beds (both double and single beds available) for $12.50 per person. Prices include 10% Panamanian tax.

Accommodation Information

Dorm rooms: We have 2 waterfront dorm rooms. One with 6 single beds and the other with 2 single beds and 2 double beds. Rates are $12.50 per person.
Private doubles: We have 4 private double rooms. 3 have double beds and one has two twin beds. Private double rate is $30 per night.
Private waterfront quadruples: We have 2 waterfront rooms with 2 double beds. Rates based on occupancy. 2 people for $40, 3 people for $45, and 4 people for $50.
Full capacity at Casa Verde is 30 people.
All rooms come with air-conditioning, fans and mini-refrigerators. Our community kitchen is fully stocked for your use and the two communal bathrooms and common areas are professionally cleaned daily. You may swim off our dock in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean or enjoy lounging in our Tiki Hut. The house has incredible views of the Bay of Almirante and the mountains of the mainland - including Panama's highest peak, Volcan Baru. Watch the ferry, boats, fisherman, and neighbors swim by. Count starfish or use the free fast Wi-Fi to plan your next journey, catch up on email, or write in your travel blog. There's a computer in the living room available for your use for free.

Location Information

Casa Verde is conveniently located on South Avanue near the ferry dock and close to restaurants, bars and all that Bocas has to offer. Our Hostel is situated over the waters of the Caribbean - as such, tour boats can come directly to our dock to pick you up. We are a short boat trip to Old Town on Isla Bastimentos as well as the famed Bocas Beaches - Wizard and Red Frog. The area's renowned surfing spots are also a short boat ride away.

On site we offer several amenities for your enjoyment:

Air conditioned Rooms - All of our rooms offer AC and fans for your use.

Wi-fi - Wireless internet is available throughout the property and this service is free to all.

Tiki Hut – Our over the water Tiki Hut is a great place to relax morning noon and night. It is available for your use at no charge. All we ask is that you keep the area clean.

Community Kitchen and BBQ Area - We offer a fully stocked kitchen for your use as well as a BBQ Smoker on our dock. All we ask is that you clean up after each use so others may enjoy the cooking facilities.

Laundry Service - Wash, dry and fold service for only $4 per load!

Bicycle Rack:
Use of our bicycle rack is offered free of charge. You will find it located at the entrance to our property near the street.

Tour Service:
Our staff will be happy to arrange personalized tours of the area for you and your friends. Our guides are the best and offer – boat tours, real estate tours, snorkeling or scuba tours, surfing tours, turtle watching etc. Simply ask one of our staff members to assist you.
