From the 3 of Jan 2008 we also open for the winter skiing season, as the Stryn ski centre is being enlarged. We now also have conference facilities. Come and enjoy the best snow in Europe.

Things to see: Jostedalsbreen glacier with it’s famous arms Briksdal, Bødal & kjenndalsbreen. Don’t miss out on the Jostedal glacier center.

Geiranger is located not far from Stryn with the famous ørnesvingen road with several view points like Dalsnibba with a view of the most beautiful fjord landscape in the world.

The national tourist roads:
The old strynefjells road (RV258) only open for the summer, in the old days the only connection to eastern Norway, here you also find the summer ski. The Panorama road (RV 613) with a spectacular view of the Nordfjord and the tvinnefoss waterfall.

Location Information

Stryn hostel is located 1,3km uphill from the bus station in stryn at Geilevegn 14. stryn is mostly famous for its glaciers like Jostedalsbreen with it famous armes like Briksdalsbreen. In and close to stryn you can also find Geirnagerfjord, summerskiing and many beautiful valleys with a lot of lakes and rivers. In stryn you have a lot of spectacular mountains shaped by the ice with many hiking tracks.
