Liked: Location. Of course posh people might be a biot put off by the neighbourhood's clientel. But hey, you get to see Oslo proper! The staff was really friendly

Disliked: The room - and facilities - were quite run down. In my room, roof plates had been punched at, giving them loads of holes. At an ordinary place that'd been replaced. Things just looked run down and "tired".

Liked: very close to all main sights of interest in OSLO. heating system work very well, even with -15degress outside.

Disliked: only shared bathrooms, even for private doubles. on 3rd floor only one shower for the entire floor. not very cosy interior/ rooms, seems like people actually living there, who don't look like the usual folks you would expect to meet at a hostel...

Liked: Everything! From the location which was basically in centrum to the best receptionist I have ever met :)

Liked: Brilliantly situated, (you can walk to the central station in 90 second) extremely friendly staff, awesome , AWESOME showers, cheap 24 hour access to coffee machine, and when I discovered that the other guy in my dorm had a colossal, deafening snore, I asked if there might be another dorm free, and was immediately given an empty smaller dorm. A brilliant place, safe, secure, friendly, and with very comfy beds.

Disliked: The only concern is that it is in a SLIGHTLY seedy part of town - single women travelling late at night might feel a little intimidated or uneasy. Nothing dangerous, but just use street smarts late at night - absolutely fine during the day.

Liked: an average hostel with friendly staff.

Disliked: there were no lockers or place to securely leave your belongings. the common room was quite loud and dirty with no staff regulation of drunks (and i mean really drunk). unfortunatly while trying to enjoy a quiet dinner i had a bad run in with a rowdy hosteler. a very unpleasant experience.

Liked: Location~only adventage~

Disliked: The facilities are terrible~only one toillet in each floor and only one shower room in this building~so it's always a rush hour there~living with the strange local residents~and the atmosphere is very unfriendly except the girl at the reception desk. There are lots of hostels in Oslo city downtown, there is no need to book this hostel.

Liked: NOTHING! Well, one woman from the staff was ok, answered some of our questions about where to go and how to get around...

Disliked: Rooms are expensive, not clean, showers are not enough, bathrooms are impossible to use, kitchen is filthy, there are people living in the place and they are mixed with travelers. The environment is terrible, the location is next to the station, however it is on the street prostitutes and drug dealers are in the city. I simply hated it, and I would never go back there! We were shocked by the value for money! Horrible! And, I can say that I know quite a lot of hostels everywhere, and I am not fussy, or picky with things... BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Liked: Brilliant location! Just minutes walk from city centre and about 2 minutes from main bus and train station.

Disliked: Somtimes had to wait a while for the toilet.

Liked: There is no doubt location is the best one. A good point is that linen and towel are included.

Disliked: Toilets and shower rooms are disgusting. Apart from dirtiness there is only one shower room for a 4 floors big building (as you can see on the pictures). In the middle of the night I was awakened by 2 weird guys inside my room, one of them had the keys but when I felt sleep that guy who had the key wasn't there, then he left together his friend and never came back, there was no bag or something like that too. I was so scared and have no idea how they could be there, inside the hostel and inside the room.

Liked: Oslo is expensive, so for being right in the middle of the city, this is relatively cheap, and linens and towel are included in the price! Which is good, others will charge you so even if the staying price is competitive, you'll have to pay extra for linens in most other places. If you want to see Oslo, this is a less than five minute (it probably is a minute if you know where you're going) walk from the nearest bus and tram stop, and from Oslo's central station. Also right down the road from the Opera House, which you can walk up from the sidewalk to the rooftop and get a fairly decent, if not great view of the Oslo Fjord, as well as the pier and Oslo itself. Staff were helpful for the most part. There's a television and dvd player in the room, as well as a fridge, and they had a library of dvds to choose from and don't charge for borrowing them, which was nice, and free internet near the reception area on one computer, and lockers in the room, but no locks. We brought our own so I don't know if they offer or charge for locks. The dining area was nice as well, with two tvs and lots of couches and an extended table.

Disliked: A bit disorganized. There was a mix-up with our lock and with the beds. Upon arrival we were told we'd be in beds 1 and 4, and were given one key because they had misplaced the other one. The next day when we came home, someone was in bed 1 and bed 3 hadn't been readied for a new arrival, despite the fact that the guy had checked out early in the morning. Also, the girl who took bed 1 had actually be in another room, and her bed had been occupied. That was a little awkward but the whole thing was figured out and my friend just had to take the sheets off of bed 3 and re-make it, but it was a little bizarre. And they changed the locks as well during the day, so we had to go and ask why we couldn't open the door. But the staff were friendly the whole time, didn't get impatient or anything, so it wasn't too bad. Also a bit dirty/dingy as far as floors are concerned.

Liked: The Hostel is absolutely central, walking distance from all the main sites. We had a spacious room all for ourselves, really comfortable. The staff was helpful and nice.

Disliked: Not the cleanest place ever, but oh well...

Liked: Located in Oslo city center, near Central Station

Disliked: No best neighbourhood in Oslo. Room located in the ground floor, extremately noisy, people smoking outside my room anytime and beside a dance club with high volume music till late. Ourside my room were the litter bins, disgusting!

Liked: The location is very good. But downtown of the city become looks not safe, due the drugged guys around. The bed an the pillow itselves are good. Only that in the room.

Disliked: The noise is to high outside from the street. There is bathroom only in 2nd floor, so we were in the 4th, and have to get down to floors by staris to reach the bathroom. The water is not that hot, only warm.

Liked: Big room for the private double, comfy bed. Kitchen and lounge were awesome helpful staff nice and warm.
