Disliked: There is no lockers in rooms. If you have any valuables with you, you need to leave them in reception, which is open from 8 am to 12 pm.

Liked: Building with a lot of character and very close to the bus station.

Disliked: Being very close to the bus station means some really interesting and dodgy people around, but only if you walk in a certain direction. Otherwise I really liked it! I still felt safe on my own.

Liked: Location. One towel included.

Disliked: No lifts. No lockers Showers at 2nd floor only, for the whole hostel (I was at the 4th floor). An ooportunty to show off your wet sexy body wrapped in a towel while you're commuting back and foward from the room to the showers!!! :P More toilets per floor would be appreciated as well!!

Liked: The hostel is very central, just 5mins walk from the train station, the main street, the harbour and the opera house etc.. Staff is friendly. There was a fridge in the room and a TV (which did not work though or I was too stupid to get it going). There is no strip bar in the same building as others have suggested in previous comments.

Disliked: It's true what other people have commented before me: There are only a couple of showers on the second floor (in a 4 storey building with more than 10 rooms on each floor!) and only two toilets on each floor (one without basin so you had you wash your hands in a strange provisional kitchen sink in the corridor). To avoid the queues, just try to get up 5mins before the crowd ;-) The facilities were kept rather clean though, so no problems there. The room itself seemed well used meaning that you definitely see signs of wear (holes in the ceiling and the wall, old linoleum floor) but if you only stay there to be out and see the city and don't plan to stay inside all day you can surely live with that. Unfortunately the wireless internet had a very weak signal in my room which might explain why so many people are sitting in the hall with their notebooks on their laps. Also the walls are very thin and the place quite noisy but that did not bother me too much since I was out most of the day anyway.

Liked: Location. Friendly & helpfull reception (Irene).Reception safe deposit. Able to download photos on the free wi-fi.

Liked: Close by city centre, good range of facilities like luggage room (after your stay you can leave your luggage there for the next day after checking out), free Wifi, computer and printer access, ...

Disliked: Unfriendly and strange group of hostel visitors and very friendly receptionist except for the guy behind the desk, if you get two words of this guy then you are lucky.

Liked: it is located in the centre, near to the central train station what is really good if you have some heavy luggage;-)

Disliked: our room smelled bad a lot - but was clean, we could not realize what was wrong there

Liked: Booked 2 beds in Dorm, but got room to ourself. Good central location and friendly guy on the reception desk.

Liked: great location, your dirty cloth can be washed for free. this is my 1st time to be treated like that in hostel. :)

Disliked: the bed is too narrow and too close to each other. otherwise it is absolutely worthy .

Liked: location is central

Disliked: only one shower per level and only one bathroom per level - that means there's only one for at least 50 people. this is ridiculous, especially for the amount of money paid. there is no staff after midnight, and considering everyone in the hostel was drunk every night they needed security or something as there were heaps of fights etc.

Liked: clean bedsheet and a nice soft bed. A nice restaurant below the hostel for cheap food.

Disliked: no showers on the floor i was living; plus the water in showers are not consistently warm. No lockers in room so have to be cautious with stuff. Not the best place to stay but should be alright for a short one.

Liked: The beds were clean. The toilets could be better - remove the smell or have air freshener and the lock needs to be changed and some hooks for hanging of jacket ... The stainless wash basin area upstairs could be improved to be more user-friendly and clean. Have a mirror installed and the walls could be brightened :) The kitchen cum TV areas are very roomy and cosy. The common shower room is also spacious and clean. Have some hangers or hooks so that we can hang our clothes etc. Install a side tray for our shampoos and shower gels ... The bright orange wall gives a cheerful feeling as one walked up and down the stairs ...

Disliked: Nothing major ... Just continue to keep improving and maintaining its cleanliness and colours ...
