Good hostel, helpful efficient staff had checked the bookings and were expecting me, check in was done in less than 5 mins, which is exceptional in my experience (I recently waited over an hour to check in at a Hostel in London). Room facilities were great - sink, TV/DVD player and a fridge!! Never got a fridge before anywhere, I find communal fridges in shared kitchens a pain and things often go missing so this was a bonus. Great for stocking up at the supermarket and saving cash! Shower's were really good, seemed to be enough whilst I was there, seperate toilet facilities were a bit rank though. Location is very central, five minute walk from bus/train station. Very little nearby in terms of night-life though, but you can get a tram up to grunerlokka easily enough - I did find a cool place just off Karl Johans Gate called Bare Jazz, great little bar in a secluded courtyard open till 12.30 am.

Nothing too fancy, but clean rooms and good beds. Good enough for the money and if you plan to spend your time roaming around the city instead of staying any extra time in your room, this is really good choice.

Although it is in the centre of Oslo, it is hard to find because the website does not tell how to go there.Lots of bitches and drunk people around that area.very noisy and unsafe. Staffs are cold.I asked them for a map and some information about Oslo, they just let me go to info centre. What I knew from them was there is no kettle in the kitchen and I can buy something to drink in the hostel machine. That was the only thing they were happy to tell me! They put 8 beds in a small room which should be at most a 4-bed dorm.Beds and beds are very close. An old man slept 20cm from me(I am a young girl) and he stared at me all the night which was terrible. But I had no choices because all other 7 people in my room were men and the staffs said I couldn't change a room.I couldn't get to sleep the whole night, because of the old man,the noise and the bad smell in the room. It is the most expensive hostel I have ever stayed, but the worst one.I don't recommend it especially to ladies.

OK, but nothing spectacular. In the world's most expensive city it is a really cheap possibility to sleep.

very helpful and friendly stuff, the hostel is located very close to the main station in the city center, ideal for a short stay. Furnished simply but all you need is there.

The hostel should be renovated (painted), but for the given price it was very good !

I really didn't like this hostel. It is conveniently located downtown and close to the train station and the ferry terminal. However, it wasn't clean (toilets in hallways in particular), it smelled bad (many people smoked in the staircase), and mostly, I didn't feel safe staying there as a woman travelling alone. Many older men use this hostel as their permanent home, and it wasn't nice to share a room with people like that.

Great! I even got upgraded to a private room. The carpeting smells a bit of pee though.

Pretty relaxed atmosphere with no curfew. Very central location so easy to get to ferries for islands or central station etc. Showers spacious and clean.

We were not keen on having a huge fridge nor a television in a room, which is on the whole of a very basic standard. The rooms we stayed in were clean, but there was a funny smell. The breakfast in the coffee bar down stairs was a big nuisance. The poor guy in the bar was completely unexperienced and the food he presented was an offence.

I liked everything, because it was my first time in hostel. The hostel is very good, clean and quiet, so, I want to go back and I will go to recommend to my friends.
