Liked: On arrival we were upgraded to the Anker hotel,No extra cost,No reason was given for this,so i didn't complain about it.

Disliked: I didn't dislike anything

Liked: We got a free upgrade to the hotel next door! Score.

Disliked: We got charged for sheets and food...but I guess we can't complain about that too much...

Liked: comfortable beds, simple but adequate cooking facilities in the room.

Disliked: having to pay for linen, poor wifi (it cut out at 10pm), strange people in the common room and walking around the hallways (not sure that they were guests at the hostel), no mop for the shower so the bathroom was always wet.

Liked: The hostel is located between the city center and Gronalokka, a nice area with pubs and bars.

Disliked: The room wasn't very clean.

Liked: Well, it is really good located, not far from Oslo`s center and train station is few minutes away

Disliked: Well, there suppose to be lockers in every room ,but thats not always like this, it is strange that you have to pay a deposit if you won`t to rent a fork or cup or a pan.

Liked: Ensuites on rooms. Good location, easy walk to main train station.

Disliked: Small foyer area, not heaps of common space but then again rooms were quite spacious.

Liked: The Anker Hostel is the Ryan Air of hostels. If you don't care about some noise and a bit of overall grubbyness, this is certainly the cheapest place to stay in Oslo. Bring your own linnen and towels, as every little extra has to be paid for. There are kitchen boxes to rent for wich the general grubbyness also applies. The personel was very nice though, and the beds unexpectedly comfy.

Disliked: Unfortunately we do care for clean and reasonably quiet rooms, and the two kitchen boxes we got were both in varying stades of disgusting, so overall I wouldn't go there again. Also, we booked a 2-person room and got one with 8 beds (all for our selves) in a corridor of 8-bed rooms, of which at least some were quite full -> noisy!!!

Liked: Best combination of price and location in Oslo.

Disliked: Internet only in lobby was annoying; Room placements were a bit odd (I'm a 22-year-old guy, and had a woman in her 50s and a family of three in my dorm room); Luggage room didn't inspire confidence.

Liked: 8 of us stayed there for NYE weekend. Had a dorm between ourselves, which had a kitchen area including cupboards, stove and fridge (appliances available from reception) and also bathroom which had a nice shower. Bunk beds compfy but would strongly recommend you purchase bedding from reception for aroud £5. The staff there were very pleasent and welcoming, just like the rest of the people in Oslo. Would definately visit again, after stocking up in duty free ofcourse to consume in the room before hitting the bars and paying £10 a pint. WIFI also very good in the hostel.

Liked: Located between nightlife area and hippy boutique /cafe street. Relativelly clean.

Disliked: I am not a fan of having a kitchen area & bathroom ensuite as part of a dorm room.

Liked: Very entertaining foosball table. LOVED the cheap(er) wine. If you want alcohol, it is definitely worth getting it at the hostel because it's a fraction of the price as in the bars. Staff let us check in early. Very good laundry facilities. Also liked that the kitchen area is in your own room.

Disliked: Could have used a bigger common room area. Needed more stools

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff - also good looking Norwegian men!! The dorms were very comfortable and the facilities were great. Also very close to town which was handy.

Disliked: The atmosphere wasn't great but I feel that was because I stayed during the winter.
