Liked: It was a perfectly satisfactory hostel- no frills, but, reasonable in price for Norway

Liked: It was very close to the city center, shops, museums. It was great that we could borrow kitchen supplies. Reception was comprehensive, staff helped us a lot, we could buy refreshments, leave our post cards ect,.

Disliked: Mud came from outside to everywhere, even to our room because the carpets were really wet all the time, and at reseption area it smelled like dog poo.

Liked: Location was good for my needs. Even though the hostel is on the edge of the city centre, Oslo being such a small city, nothing is too long a walk away. Room mates were a good laugh, even at 4 in the morning!

Disliked: Cleanliness, there is more to cleaning than just mopping the floors. Toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Lockers in rooms were useless, most had the clasps broken or missing.

Disliked: The price. But it is one of the cheapest in Oslo.

Liked: Kitchenette, mini fridge and ensuite bathroom in the dorm room. Secure access to floors and dorms. Central location.

Disliked: Bring your own sleeping sheet if you don't want to pay for sheets. Would be nice if there were hostel organised activities.

Liked: The hostel was a good proximity to the city centre, albeit the road in particular was a bit grubby. The room was clean and fairly spacious and the shower/bathroom worked a treat. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area and travel, so were able to help with almost anything.

Disliked: There was construction work taking place, explained by hostel posters as "during the day" when in fact started at around 7:15am. Would have been nice to have WiFi in rooms so we could schedule the day ahead without doing it in the lobby.

Liked: Good location and for Oslo a good price

Disliked: No free lockers (50 NOK), no possibility to store valuable stuff. Bathroom not cleaned and staff appeared to annoyed from customers. Kitchen in 8-bed dorms are comfortable for groups, but not really comfortable for single travellers.

Liked: It had a good common area to meet people with a foosball table and TV. Feels like more of a hotel than a hostel...our room had a refigerator , mini stove and sink.

Disliked: Hated the shower...kept flooding.

Liked: The large dorms mean that you do meet people and the rooms were warm and the bed fairly comfy. The staff were friendly enough and responded to enquiries promptly. The kitchen facilities and the shower room was adequate. The security door into the corridor leading to the rooms was good as it locked behind you automatically.

Disliked: The lockers in the room were not very secure as the clasp on the door was small and would not take a great deal of strength to pull off, as demonstrated by the fact that only two out of five lockers had a working clasp. You need to take a lock with you as there are none supplied. The door to the dorm did not lock automiatically and I sometimes found that it had been left open by careless others. An automatic locking door would be safer in my opinion.

Liked: location was good and they had free wi-fi.

Disliked: It was dirty, there was only 3 plug sockets in the room for 8 people and it was over priced. This is the most expensive hostel I stayed in and probably the worse.

Liked: The rooms were fairly clean and spacious. Nice to have a tiny kitchen in the room. A good place to meet new friends.

Disliked: Some staffs were nice and helpful, some were not. No WiFi in the room which was very inconvenient.

Liked: Compaired to other options in oslo it's cheep. The people at the desk are nice.

Disliked: The free wifi is not the best. If you are trying to stream anything good luck. The bathrooms are rather poor as are the lockers in the rooms. It's pretty much your average hostel, don't expect anything special.
