Rachael SmithGood location a couple of tram stops from the main station. Common area very small, kitchen in room but have to hire utensils. Internet not working. Reception always busy, not very good at replying to emails! |

Customer reviewI had found the comment before I stayed if we want to have a room only for female, we need to let you know previously. Although, I definately e-mailed the hostel, the reception did accept a guy to stay in our room. I went down to the reception with the guy and asked to change his room. I asked not to do the same again, but the receptionist brought another guy to the room!!!! It was too late to ask anyone anymore. Please make sure our demands. Apart from that, the hostel itself was excellent. |

HEIDI GABALLOIt was easy to find and accessible. The facilities were clean and excellent (the room had its own refrigerator, kitchen sink and stove, cabinets and lockers plus ensuite bath/toilet which was also spotless. I would definitely stay there again. |

Customer reviewNOTE TO HOSTELBOOKERS AND EARLY ARRIVAL TRAVELLERS :- check on at this hostel is not until 15.00. There is no mention of this on hostelbookers site at moment, it just mentions 24 hour reception in summer. If you arrive early to Oslo you may wish to find a place with earlier check in. However, if you are lucky, you find a kind and understanding soul at the reception.THANKYOU :-) Good price for bed in expensive city / country. Very close to bus and train stns - 10 min walk. Be careful if leaving TRAIN STN from front entrance, this is where all the drug users hang out, and it may be a bit threatening for inexperienced travellers. Very big hostel in large soulless modern building without much charm and atmosphere. But a clean room, comfy bed and hot shower - a place to sleep. NO GUEST KITCHEN REALLY. Just a hotplate in each BEDROOM with no equipment. Kitchen equipment may be loaned from reception for a returnable fee. But maybe its not so nice to be cooking in your sleeping envioroment? Would a proper well equiped kitchen be too much to ask for ? Would recommend this place if you are looking for cheapest bed, but may suggest spending a bit more to have more soul and an earlier check in. NB - Oslo quite ugly modern city and can think of many better places in Norway to spend the night.Met someone who had booked 4 nights there and regretted having to stay more than one. |
