Liked: Cheapest hostel in Oslo

Disliked: In a bad part of town, kitchen was inside of the hostel rooms but there were no dishes, pots, or silverware (apparently you could rent them)

Liked: The location is great - close to Grunerlokka where all the cafes and boutique stores are. room was ok, bathroom was ok, there isnt a whole lot of place to hang out outside the room other than the lobby sitting area. its great for the price but not a lot of character.

Disliked: no place to hangout except for the small lobby sitting area.

Liked: very nice rooms with good beds. Late check-out allows a longer night (it can be good if you partied the night before). Not far from city center

Disliked: Incredibly expensive, but I guess it's just Norway... The earlisest check-in is a bit too late. The lift was broken. Not Exactly in the city center, in a rather poor area. (some great bars 5 minutes of walk away though)

Liked: Good location, 10 min walking from Oslo S. There are several grocery shops nearby. Rooms are rather clean, there is kitchen facility in dorm rooms. They use some kind of electronic key, so it looks safe. Staff is amiable and helpful.

Disliked: The part of the town, where it is located, is maybe not the best and safest, but one should consider the cost.

Liked: Location was close to everything; shops and everything you needed nearby. Good tram and bus connections.

Disliked: Hallways, staircases and elevator looked old and dirty.

Liked: there are basics things, that the guests can use, no matter good or bad reviews the hostel always has plenty of guests anyway

Disliked: the mattress was not clean, I felt disgusted and itchy, while I was sleeping, cause some guests did not bother to pay for the linen, so they were sleeping without sheets, I think the hostel should provide bed linen for free

Liked: Free wifi

Disliked: Drunk guy in our room tried to go through my stuff, but I guess that could happen anywhere. Other than that, the place was overpriced, dirty, and not near the center of town.

Liked: Good location for the city center, near a tram line, but pretty easy to walk around too. Staff was efficient and pleasant. Rooms clean and well-maintained.

Disliked: There's an additional charge for linens (50 Kr.) which is not unheard of, but would have been nice to know about beforehand.

Liked: Oslo is an expensive city. I think it's good enough to find a place to stay in oslo for this price. I was luck because hostel updated the dorm 6 bad to dorm 4 bad. It was for same price. Don't forget to bring your own towel and sheets.

Disliked: If yorent towel and sheet they are too expensive. Bring yours.

Liked: After looking on several sites like hostelbookers we found out that this hostel is the cheapest hostel that is located right next to the night life area. We meet alot of people on our flight and on the bus that also slept in this hostel (for the same reason) so it was easy to meet people to hang out with. I recommend this place but don't expect any luxury that Norway offers.

Disliked: Towel, breadfast and linen are not included. Which makes it very expensive.

Liked: It was by far the cheapest place I could find to stay in Oslo. The bus/trams are just outside the door and it's a short walk to the train station.

Disliked: It's like a prison. It's very shabby and dirty in parts. It's pretty depressing to stay here for longer than a night. The staff were barely friendly and not helpful. Though I had no major problems, I'd recommend to travellers to try to stay somewhere else.

Liked: A good location and the cheapest option in Oslo. It is simply a place to sleep instead of sleeping in the street.

Disliked: Very bad cleanliness. People making noise during the night: this prevented other customers from sleeping and the staff did not do anything about it. Anarchy inside the multiple rooms: some people use the room without being concerned with other well being: for instance, used socks were in a pile in the middle of the room. There are no rules concerning these issues. Music in the common room/reception is so loud that is almost impossible to chat. Kitchen inside the room makes the atmosphere smelly during the night, especially after people had cooked in the evening.

Liked: Nice rooms, bathrooms, fridge and sink in them.

Disliked: This is one of those giant hostels... it is ok if you are travelling with friends, but it is going to be complicated to make any friends if you are alone. But obviously you should know this before you book it. Other than that, the showers inside the rooms will flood the entire bathroom.

Disliked: a good bar at the hostel would bring ths place to life and make it more open to meeting other travellers ...
