Liked: It was a very location, the staff was frendly and helpfull, We was a family of five in a 8 dorm, the shower was old but clean. The beds was good. We didn't try the breakfast place but that looked like a good value for the money and cheap coffee. We ate our brunch at a place in Grunerløkka called The Food Storie and that an delicious meal. (Organic)

Liked: Good location, free wi-fi useful. Dorm good enough, slept well.

Disliked: No organised events, room a little too warm (no air-con), bathroom a little cramped and damp.

Liked: Central located, easy to find. We just checked in and returned very late. Room was clean, pleople ok.

Liked: Rooms were nice and spacious, it was good to have an ensuite too.

Disliked: Would have appreciated better curtains, the ones in my room didn't filter out much light, and there is a lot of daylight during summer in Norway! The staff appeared to be a little slack, there were usually one or two people helping whilst a few others would be behind the counter chatting or getting drinks. At one point I was waiting to be seen for a few minutes because they were watching something on YouTube, then when I was able to get their attention they acted as if I had inconvenienced them. I don't mind having to wait during busy periods, and I get that they could have been on breaks or whatever but then why distract the working staff from attending customers?

Liked: Good transportation directly outside the hostel. Good wifi access.

Disliked: Bathrooms have a strange design though, shower water directly lands on the toilet

Liked: Tram and bus stop right out side which was convenient. Isn't too far from the centre of town but street does have a bit of a down-at-heel, dodgy feel. We had booked a 6 bed dorm but were put in an 8 bed dorm. However, it didn't seem worth complaining as we were lucky enough to get two beds that were behind a partition wall and by the window, giving us a degree of privacy from some of the other beds.

Disliked: The dorms have kitchens in the rooms. At the time of booking I thought, no problem. Problem was our room mates decided to start cooking at 10pm, when we were really ready for bed after a tiring day travelling from Stockholm. And the extractor fan wasn't working so it made the room smell. The second night we were there they were cooking late at night as well. This obviously isn't the hostel's fault but they were some of the most inconsiderate room mates we had on the whole trip and the risk of inconsiderate room mates is something to consider with these dorms with kitchens. We couldn't very well say please don't cook now when they were clearly having their dinner. It would be a great set up if you had the whole room booked for a group, but not so good when you have to share.

Liked: Reasonable location.

Disliked: Staff members were either unhelpful or rude. The luggage room was never locked and there were so many people coming and going that your stuff could easily be stolen. The bathroom in the dorm was dirty and smelt terribly. Only hot or scalding hot water from the taps and showers. No lockers in rooms. Dorm rooms have a small kitchen but you have to pay to use pots/pans etc. which defeats the purpose of cooking a cheap meal in an expensive city. Stay somewhere else.

Liked: there was a good social room downstairs to meet people

Disliked: it was dirty. the was graffiti everywhere. there was no kitchen you had to cook in the rooms which were smelly as a result. it was a hassel to get any cooking equiptment and there were no social outing planned

Liked: The hostel is proximate to the tram station that heads to the city centre. Restaurants, bistros and a supermarket are near to the hostel.

Liked: good location, easy to find. you can borrow the dishes and other things for cooking without paying, just a deposit money. there is a kitchen in your room.

Disliked: you have to pay an extra money for the bed clothes.
