Liked: Location and surrounding is nice. Breakfast was very good and flowers in the dining room looked really nice.

Disliked: Lack of interest of the owners. It is one of the places where you have hard time to find the staff. You arrive, nobody is there and if you need help you have to use the phone. I could not find a communal fridge, kitchen. Perhaps I am too demanding but I would expect something different for the price.

Liked: The building itself is really beautiful. The room I stayed in was a one person- very plain and boring (in the basement,) but good enough. It had a desk and a closet. There's also a bus stop right outside, which takes you right into the center of Oslo in under 20 minutes. The woman who worked at the desk was very nice, and very helpful with directions.

Disliked: When I got there, there were little letters addressed to everyone who would be staying there that night, telling them their room number (no one works at the desk past 1pm.) However, there was no little letter for me. To be fair, I had only booked it the day before, but I think that should have given them enough time to run over and add a letter for me. Instead, I had to call them, (thank God I had a phone,) which cost me $$ international minutes, but they had processed my reservation (thankfully) and told me which room to go to. (But, he didn't apologize, which kind of annoyed me.) Paying a little over $100 per night for the little room kind of hurt my heart, but that is Oslo- EVERYTHING is very expensive. Also, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom the night I got there, OR the next night. That's an extremely easy thing to check, and pretty inexcusable in my book.

Liked: All in all a nice place if you consider that it is one of the cheapest possibility to stay in Oslo! But it depends from the room you stay in: If you stay in a room in the cellar, you will not be satisfied, it is damp and not very clean. But if you stay upstairs you will love this location! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is located in the diplomat quarter, a very beautiful quarter of Oslo with good connection to the harbor and the city center. The breakfast is only basic: coffee, milk, orange juice, fruits, flakes and cereal...

Liked: Difficult to rate, because it's Oslo, one of the most expensive city in the world. Anyway the staff was very friendly and we appreciate that they do all the best to help. But as the prices in the city, the room rate looks not appropriate for us, even if the property make a lot of efforts. Cleanliness was quite a problem, the bathrooms and toilets were not cleaned during our whole stay.

Liked: Really cheap for Oslo and the beds are good. Shared bathroom and toilets are cleaned frequently enough. It's on the bus line that join Oslo center to Bygdoy (where the best museum are at). And it's close to each of them (5-10 minutes by bus). Really nice stay.

Liked: The building is lovely the bed and duvet and sheets are clean, there is a relatively clean shower and good bathroom facilities, no cues, almost never had to wait. However, there was no personal service of any kind, and the coffee and breakfast were very average. The room price was high for a tiny room with shared facilities but that is Oslo! A very expensive city... beware.

Liked: i did not like, that my room was in the "underground" with a small transom window - therefore it was quite dark and i could not see anything :(breakfast was averagebut the house itself and the beatiful environment is recommendable

Liked: Nice building, tries to maintain the 19th century feeling. A good welcome is the waffel-iron which you´ll find free to use nearly all day and night. Breakfast was quite simple and boring, though...

Liked: New, with full apartment facilities. High quality, but it should be at over $200 a night! But such rates are typical in Norway, the most expensive country in Europe.
