A "different place" Engholm Husky Design Lodge is situated next to Karasjohka river, 6 km outside of Karasjok. The cosy log houses here at the lodge was built by Sven selves and has a special charm. Sven has made decorations and internal work in order to create a unique and personal atmosphere in each house.

Interesting "dogmusher library" in the main house. The wood heated sauna is very cosy, it has separate room for relaxing and is very popular. The ‘Barta' – a special turf covered log house where we gather around the open fire sitting on reindeer furs with special food and good drinks. We are licensed for food and beverage. Our farm consists of 40-50 highly trained sled dogs for long-distance racing and tours and ruff riding horses for summer enjoyment.
You may combine your stay with some activities and experience our area close up. You are welcome to join in our daily life on the farm. There is always a lot happening on our farm Sled dogs are in training, puppies are learning to socialize. Many interesting books can be read in the "Dogmusher library". Sauna or outdoor hut tub. Smaller tours can be ventured upon alone if desired.

Winter:
Snow shoeing.
Cross-country skiing or walking in the beautiful countryside nearby.
You can book a extra sled dog tour.
Tour with a snow mobile.
Visit sami family with their reindeer herd on the plateau.

Summer:
Fishing. Conditions are very good for fishing salmon, trout and graylings in Karasjok river (200m). Char and pike in the lakes nearby.
Canoing in the river nearby. Rent a canoe, we will pick you up from were ever you like.
Rent a bicycle.
Walking in the beautiful and unspoiled landscape just out from the door step.
