Liked: the location was beautiful but very far from the city centre. facilities were average but the breakfast was AMAZING.

Disliked: sheets are not included in the price. the lockers were not located in the dorm rooms or anywhere close to them.

Liked: It wasn't very busy and ended up getting a dorm room to myself

Disliked: Its too far out of the city center; 15-20 minute bus ride to get anywhere

Liked: the front desk staff is great!!! he recommeded me great places to go, thanks again.

Disliked: have to pay extra for bed sheets(which is normal for hostels in Norway)

Liked: clean. Probably has a great view during the day, friendly staff, nice breakfast

Disliked: location- far from city centre rather then following the confusing instructions just ask someone/bus driver

Liked: The location is away from the tourist area but still easily accessable. The kitchen facilities are great and the staff at reception are super friendly and helpful.

Disliked: got eaten alive by bed bugs, staff were not even sympathetic. Location is too far from town

Disliked: Forty-five minute steep walk from city centre, not many showers (none private that I could see), few power points per room.

Liked: It has a lovely view of Bergen out the back and serves a great free breakfast!

Disliked: the location is inconvenient- need a bus to get to and from the town centre and there were no lockers in the room.

Liked: Rather luxurious breakfast for a hostel - four different kinds of fish dishes in addition to toasts, cereals, juice, hams etc. Very big kitchen for cooking and also eating. Then several other common areas for chill-out. It's located uphill hence it's a good workout to reach the hostel by foot while enjoying the scenic view at different altitudes.

Disliked: Too expensive for its location, which takes 20 min by bus or 1 hr walk. The description for its location could be written better. First, it's not easy to find the bus stop in the city centre without asking around and there's no direction whatsoever from the bus stop at Montana to the hostel itself. Nonetheless, with its popularity, chances are you'll find someone in the bus who'll be heading to the hostel as well so you could just follow them.

Liked: Good clean kitchen and showers. Great lounge to hang out in. Great view from the hill overlooking Bergen. Great breakfast.

Disliked: It costs 25 kroner to get the bus here from the city centre (about 20 minutes). Also linen costs extra. No lockers in dorm (but some were available downstairs).

Disliked: Wifi never worked. In private room u ran out of hot water if showered for more than ten min. Charge for sheets! Sth i had never seen in HI.w

Liked: The ambient and atmosphere was very good. There was a lot of friendly people from everywhere whose you could have nice conversations. The staff were very kind with me. One day I got up later and the breakfast time was finished. The staff had already begun to clean the canteen. In spite of this, the staff prepared breakfast to me to take away. Good people!

Disliked: Maybe the lockers, some doors was bended. I think somebody stole there. And I think that is easy to steal because the room was a bit hided (a dark room at downstairs) and the lockers are low quality.

Liked: beautiful view from the courtyard the breakfast was great - big choice of meals included in the price of accommodation (really helps to save money in Norway) cosy sitting room to spend evenings friendly staff

Disliked: it is quite far from the city centre - too far to get there on foot, but this is the only negative

Liked: Very beautiful hostel and very comfortable. Located at the foot hill of Ulriken mountain, great for hiking and just relaxing.

Disliked: Location, need bus to go there and bus fees in Norway aint cheap. But if have car would be perfect place to stay :)

Liked: Decent accommodation for last minute booking.

Disliked: The shower in my private room wasn't that nice. I chose to use the Dorm Showers which were much more modern and tidier.

Liked: the staff were friendly, the breakfast was amazing for a hostel, and the rooms were clean.. overall a comfortable stay..

Disliked: even though the view is spectacular from up there (and worth it), its a bit of a hassle waiting around for the bus, and finding out its stops.. the directions also given on the website are not exactly correct on getting the bus stop to the hostel.. from the train station, exit in the main exit, turn right, find the street they say, but then turn left into that street, the bus stop on that street (on the opposite side of road) is going in the wrong direction.. so just continue along for another two minutes and the correct bus stop is around the corner..
