Friendly, helpful, and great location! Bergen YMCA Hostel is located in the middle of Bergen city center, right by the famous fish market, the tourist information center and the beautiful old town, Bryggen. We are open all year, although reception hours are limited in the low season.

Welcome to Bergen YMCA Hostel! The hostel has a superb location in the city center, only one minute from the famous Fish Market, the old town of “Bryggen” and the funicular up Mount Fløyen. The hostel is a great starting point, whether you want to explore the city itself, or head on to see the some of the well-known fjords and glaciers in Western Norway. The hostel is within easy reach of shops, restaurants, attractions and public transportation (buses, ferries and trains).
The rooms are bright and spacious, with en-suite facilities and kitchenettes. We offer single, double, 4 and 6 bedded rooms. Budget dorms are available during summer. Other facilities: Internet Cafe, WI-FI, TV lounge and common rooms, fully equipped guest kitchen and a big roof terrace with an amazing view over the harbor! The hostel is open all year.

If you book for the off season between 1st September and 31st May each year, it is essential for you to contact us directly to tell us an arrival time, and to get check in information, as our reception has limited times.
Due to hygiene regulations it is obligatory to hire sheets for 50kr per person on arrival. This is paid once only so the longer you stay the cheaper it gets!

1st October end of April: 08:30 - 15:30 from Monday to Friday only
