Liked: Outstanding value for money given it's location right by the sea- lovely to wake up to the sound of the ocean in the morning. Rick is very helpful, friendly and laid back which contributes to the overall atmosphere of the hostel.

Disliked: Walking down two flights of stairs for the bathroom was irksome, but the price of the room was so reasonable we can't really complain too much.

Liked: The owner Rick was very accomodating I made an error on my booking as I wanted en suite facilities he moved every around for us to provide these facilties.

Liked: Very welcoming, good atmosphere, comfortable room. Rick is extremely friendly and helpful, and helped us bus times for a wedding we were attending along the coast. The hostel is very well located within Portstewart and is very close to a bus stop.

Liked: Both the staff (especially Rick) and the people staying in the hostel were so nice! It was very family friendly and had a very homey feel to it. The kitchen and the common area were so welcoming, clean, and pleasant. The rooms were small, but very clean. Great location- so beautiful! The public transportation system was pretty good too! I loved this hostel.

Liked: Rick himself was very friendly and informative about the local area. It was very child friendly. Ginger the cat.

Liked: Everybody and everything was fun, comfortable and interesting. Even Ginger the cat! We met some nice people and felt very much at home. Nobody was concerned when my sons slept in until 10am, and we felt completely welcome throughout our stay. Many thanks to Rick.

Liked: rick was very nice, it was close to the amenties

Disliked: the room for my son and i was absolutely tiny, the offer of free tea and coffee really was a free bag or a tsp. of instant coffee there was no milk or sugar, fridges too small, linen a bit weird smelling. no internet although their was a computer....the helper was unhelpful, the price was too much for what you got. the bathrooms were dodgy.

Liked: We arrived reasonably late and left early so didn't spend a great deal of time in the hostel, but while we were there everything was great. It was tidy, warm and inviting, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The location was great - we had a sea view from our room and could hear the waves crashing in the distance which was lovely. Easy walking distance to the main area of Portstewart, and the house and room were quite secure. Would recommend it to a friend and would go back again.

Liked: Rick was very helpful and outgoing, the location is niceley situated by the downtown strip in Port Stewart, and only meters from the ocean. We had a comfortable stay.

Liked: Rick was really nice and very willing to offer advice, and the staff he employs are very nice as well. There's not a whole lot to do in Portstewart itself but at least the city has a bit of charm, a bus can take you to the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills, Dunluce Castle, or the rope bridge and it takes a maximum of about 30 minutes to get there. Building was quite nice, but the mattress wasn't exactly the best. The Hostel itself is quite close to the promenade/waterfront, so there were some nice views from very close to the location.

Liked: This place was like other country! It felt like going to Mediterrian area! Portsteward is very small and relatively expensive place though. But defenitely worth for one night staying and enjoying.
