The 31 bed centre boasts excellent budget accommodation. All rooms are en-suite with a mixture of private & shared rooms. There are secure parking, laundry facilities, self catering facilities, a lounge, restaurant, extra showers, a BBQ & patio area, free Wi-Fi, a wood burning stove & a conference room all available.

We are only one hour from Belfast and one and a half hours from Dublin for those interested in visiting the Titanic Quarter in April 2012!

Visit this fascinating corner of Ireland steeped in history, hike the old smuggling route across the mountains, play golf, go fishing, visit scenic coastal villages or kayak, bike, even mountain board the Mournes!
Visit Lough Shannagh, The Silent Valley, Cranfield Beach and a Greencastle Castle a Norman Castle.

Local information pack and detailed maps have been prepared for each bedroom outlining the walks and the archaeology features of the area.

The Centre is proud to announce that it has won a Northern Ireland Tourism Award for the best Non-Serviced Accommodation. This is a great achievement for such a small voluntary community business. We look forward to showing off our award to all who visit us!

In our Restaurant we offer you fresh local food and use Fair Trade Products where appropriate. We use bio degradable detergents and cleaning materials. We ask our guests to participate in our environmental policies such as water, energy saving measures, recycling and safe disposal of waste.

Please note: The centre is closed from 11am - 5pm daily!

The reception is open from 5 pm - 8pm daily! Guests who arrive outside of this time need to inform the property!

High profile events, such as the launch of ‘Titanic Belfast’ and the Cultural Olympiad Peace One Day Concert, will take place throughout 2012. Accommodation Information

The Cnocnafeola Centre / Mourne Hostel has eight bed rooms with en-suite facilities sleeping up to 31 people. There are 1x3 private rooms and 4x4 shared bed rooms and 1x 8 bed room.

All bedrooms are comfortable with good quality bed linen, duvets and pillows. Hot showers are always available and in the winter heating is tailored to your needs.
There is a self catering kitchen as well as a restaurant on site. Meals need to be booked in advance.

Continental Breakfast will be left for guests!
Washing machine and tumble dryer are available at an extra cost.

Free safe parking, 52 inch TV with DVD player, washing machine and tumble dryer at an extra cost.

Location Information

The Cnocnafeola Centre / Mourne Hostel is located outside the small fishing town of Kilkeel and 1 mile from the Silent Valley one of Northern Ireland's famous beauty spots.
The hostel is located in the middle of Atticall village close to the local school and supermarket which has all you will need for your stay.
In the village there is a church and petrol pumps should you require this service.
