The staff where really nice and friendly, beds very comfortable. its an old school so there was a lot of character about it, would stay again

Old school converted to an independant family run hostel with lots of character, located just outside Derry along the beautiful North Coast, cheap internet, FREE breakfast, FREE private parking.
Carrowmena Hostel is ideal for exploring local beautiful areas such as Causeway Coast, Sperrin Mountain Range, Mussenden Temple, Roe Valley Country Park and Lough Foyle - all of which are within a 10 mile radius. Downhill, Benone and Magilligan beach are only 8 miles away. Activities on beach, swimming, running, surfing, jet skiing and canoeing (hire equipment at Carrowmena) are also available.

Here at Carrowmena Hostel our accommodation is in dorm, double, twin rooms all with own keys as well as a large area for camping. NITB approved.
We have a fully furnished self- catering kitchen, FREE BREAKFAST, cheap INTERNET, FREE bed linen, FREE tea & coffee, 100% Irish Owned, central heating, hot showers, drying room, bike hire and secure bike storage, laundry facilities, covered over outdoor BBQ area, meals available on request, nice local pub/restaurant 2 miles away with great music and craic.
