Liked: I loved the staff, common areas and relaxed feeling of the place. I highly recommend this hostel if you are after a place that provides opportunity to meet other travellers and whose staff understand the needs of people, providing valuable local information and ensuring the hostel is quiet after midnight.

Liked: Very friendly staff! They explained us how to visit Belfast and they made us feel at home. Very good breakfast included.

Disliked: Cleanliness improvable and just two bathrooms.

Liked: Excellent price/quality ratio. 15/20 minutes walk to the center of Dublin + lots of buses.Direct cheap link from the airport (line 16A, only 2,20euros/person).Lots of flyers with discounts for main attractions.

Disliked: Pretty clean but not very clean. Then again, I've paid more for places that were less clean. Not a very quiet hostel (especially if you have a group of drunk people -staying at the same hotel - that sings next to your window till 4 a.m.)

Liked: The hostel was set in a nice area of Belfast with a 10 min to the city and a few minute walk to bars and shops. The Property itself was nice a clean, the introduction when checking is was the best i have had as william told us the good sights to visit and gave directions. The staff where helpful, breakfast was good and having a few drinks with staff and other travelers always makes a trip more social.If i go back to Belfast i will be staying here again

Liked: What a great hostel! It doesn't get better than a free english breakfast, a social atmosphere and extremely helpful staff! William (the owner) is awesome (and does an excellent impression of Horatio Caine). There was social gatherings in the evening between all the guests with beverages provided. When you arrive, you are provided with a lot of useful information about Belfast and things to do. The kitchens were fully equipped and very clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was simply great! This "Granny" would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

Liked: Fantastic! Loved everything! Great fully cooked breakfast,. Tv room with DVD's, very social. Great location and the staff will even organise a great value for money black cab tour.

Liked: The nice man gave me a free beer. That pretty much sums up the hostel. Great staff make a great hostel and William is a perfect host. Cheap, good location, nice atmosphere, feels like a home away from home...

Liked: Lagan Backpackers was truly one of the BEST hostels I have ever stayed in. It's no Hilton (but obviously if you stay in hostel you don't expect it to be) but my partner and I could not have asked for a cleaner, more comfortable or better cared after place to sleep for two nights. The staff is WONDERFUL- all were really cool and beyond helpful.The hot breakfast was great, the room was great, the location was great. Compared to the one we stayed at in Derry (which was filthy with a drunken staff who were only helpful at inviting us to the bars, not at getting our covers on the bed), we were pining to go back to Lagan Backpackers again.L.B. helped make Belfast a truly awesome experience.

Liked: The location is amazing, right in the middle of the student district of Belfast. The staff is incredibly helpful and enthusiastic about ensuring you get a good grasp of their beloved city. The hostel itself has an incredible array of amenities: projector and dvds, two kitchens, wifi, and everything else you could want.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: I LOVED Lagan! One of my best hostel experiences so far. The staff were incredible, the property old but very clean, and the location fantastic. I found it easier to meet people here than any other hostel and the breakfast and DVD collection were a massive plus!

Liked: Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, easy going atmosphere, easy to meet people. Easy reach of Botanic Avenue rail station and walking distance to the Europa bus and rail station. Nearby Botanic Avenue has a large range eating places and a slightly alt atmosphere.

Disliked: some facilies a bit rough about the edges. On our first morning the electricity was a not working in our side of the hostel for a while and there was a delay before we could take our showers. However in comparison with the overall enjoyment of our stay these were minor inconveniences.

Liked: Maybe the best hostel I've stayed at this summer--William makes sure to get people meeting each other at nights--complimentary beer and Powers--and makes a delicious complimentary breakfast in the morning. Clean, friendly and helpful staff, pretty good spot right near Queen's University. Nice beds, nice showers, the rooms feel very home-y and comfortable. Outstanding.

Liked: There was a definite communal feel to the hostel. The experience of being in Belfast on the 12th of July was made a safe and enjoyable experience due to the knowledge and friendliness of the staff.

Disliked: Needing to pay the remainder of my balance in cash was a little inconvenient and cost me a lot in ATM fees.

Liked: Very reasonable for the price. The owners were very helpful. We didn't know too much about the attractions in Belfast and they provided a map and different tour options. They called for the Black Cab Tour to pick us up right out in front of the hostel and called for a cab early in the morning for us to make it to the airport. The breakfast was great, rooms and facilities were clean, guests were respective, overall very good place to stay.

Liked: Room was super spacious, and bathrooms were conveniently located around the hostel. 2 kitchens and a killer homemade breakfast care of the lovely staff. Very relaxed atmosphere. Common room with free internet and tons of movies for any down time made it easy to meet people. Walking distance to mostly everything. Right beside the beautiful university grounds...worth a walk around.
