Liked: Our stay was marred a bit by some very loud people coming back from the pub in the early hours and arguing very loudly - sound travels through this place, don't forget your earplugs. All very basic, lacking character - if you just want a bed for the night it's ok. The location was good and the manager, William, was great - very helpful.

Liked: William and Melissa (the staff) are so friendly and helpful. The size of the hostel makes for a very personal experience - and it was so great to not sleep in a bunk bed!

Liked: it's a cool place to stay! we got very warm welcome from the owner on arrival and plenty practical info about the city. the hostel is clean and tidy, the beds are super confortable to relax. I met nice people there and enjoyed warm breakfast every morning. Would really like to recommend it, you'll get more than what you paid :)

Liked: William, the hostel owner, is friendly and very helpful. He knows the ins and outs of Belfast and can give you the scoop on what to see and do. He's really considerate of his guests--he even let me have a nap after I'd checked out!

Liked: William was really helpful telling us about places to go and see, even giving us a map. There was a mix up over the price of our room but william quickly sorted it and couldn't apologise enough. Everything was available in the kitchen to use with tea and coffee free.

Liked: The best thing about the hostal is the owner and staff. They bend over backwards to help out, provide advice and make sure you have what you need during your stay. In a great location near shops and pubs. Not your typical hostal though -- very small kitchen and common area. Rooms are big with twin beds only - no bunk beds.

Liked: stayed there with a friend whilst in belfast for a gig. Cheap, simple and safe. does exactly what it says on the tin. What makes it stand out is the friendliness of the staff, couldnt have been more helpful in providing use of internet, hairdryers or places to visit. felt welcomed and this was further evident when offered a few drinks!! will definitely stay there again if ever in belfast.

Liked: The only real "+" was William the guy who was at reception. He was very friendly and very helpful. But the Hostel's a real mess compared to standards in the Republic

Liked: Helpful, friendly staff, location near the city center, but still in a quite area. I had my expensive bicycle with me, and was given a secure place to keep it, where I didn't have to be concerned about theft or damage.When I come back to Belfast I will definitely stay here. One of my best hosteling experiences ever.

Liked: I have stayed in many hostels around the world and this hostel was up there with the very best in terms of personal experiences. I was there for a reunion and the helpful friendly staff, especially Willian, with their facilities, made iy a time to cherish. I will not only be returning, but will be recommending it to all and sundry. Well done, Lagan Backpackers

Liked: Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. Small, but has plenty of character and a nice, laid-back atmosphere. The only hostel I've ever stayed at that offered me a beer when I arrived, which was pretty awesome. Definitely recommend staying here.

Liked: I could not believe that the beds in the dorm rooms weren't bunks, v clean and spacious, amazing location close to all clubs/bars and centre of town. The hosttel offers lots of tours & the staff Melissa and William are informative and friendly. I highly recommend.

Liked: The location couldn't be better, so near to public transport, and all night time activities ie pubs! Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Hostel was clean and amazing value for money. Would def reccomend this to anyone visiting Belfast.
