Liked: Friendly staffs, cleanliness and nice atmosphere

Disliked: Atmosphere of kitchen. There are just a few toasters, tables and chairs in the kitchen for all clients

Disliked: Whole hostel was very unclean and run down. In our room there was mold so my friend had allergic reaction and had difficulties breathing. The front door didn`t lock, you could simply push it open when it was "lock". The washing machine didn`t work. There was no room for the tour to the Giants Causeway so we didn`t get to go to it although we were there for two nights. They told us that we could have went to the tour the day we were checking out but then we had to have paid for it. A total scam.

Liked: The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The free Internet access was a great plus. It was also good that you didn't have to drop the keys to the reception every time you left the building.

Disliked: The beds were awful: it was like sleeping at the floor, and especially the pillows were like there was no pillow at all. The toilets didn't always work, the shower's locks were broken and the shower doors were actually easily jammed, trapping you inside the shower. There was also quite a lot traffic passing by at night.

Liked: Cheap.Giants Causeway trip is very good. Beds are fairly comfy, although they squeak a lot.

Disliked: Staff are arrogant and spend more time getting drunk and playing awful music in the garden than doing any work. Most don't actually know anything about Belfast because they're all Australian. Carpets were filthy. No lockers in rooms. Wireless internet is protected and although the password is provided, it doesn't work on all devices. Not enough toilets for the number of beds. Dining room tables were all sticky. Breakfast quite poor. Hostel is NOT WHERE GOOGLE MAPS SAYS IT IS Also, the sign to tell you that it is a hostel is down a side street and not visible from the main road.

Liked: The hostel is run down, the staff didn't really seem interested in their guests.. the drier was broken so no towel on arrival. Horrible group of people staying in the room next door who partied in their room all freakin' night, would have been alright but we had a flight at 6am grr, ended up yelling at them. Location's good though, walking distance to bars and city centre. I recommend if you're not fussy :)

Liked: Despite the numbers ... it was full most nights ... there was PLENTY of space in kitchen dinning room computer room and lounge.. It is very close to Ulster Museum and the Queens University area too and the supermarket not so far away

Liked: It was a cool place to stay and hang out. Particularly liked the staff, all a good craic, friendly and willing to lend a hand. Good facilities, such as use of this free internet. Would of been cooler though if there was a lounge area, or designated place to hang out after 11.30 or after a night on the town, when everyone just wants to have a drink and a chat. Kitchen could of been a little cleaner, but think that's just the laziness of other backpackers! Aussie kids were a great laugh!! Recommend Belfast and Paddy's to all keen travelers!

Liked: The hostel was sufficient however lacked hygiene. Cleaners were not hired. Alternatively, cleaning was done by travelers 'working for a bed'. A good way to build your immune system!!! That is of course, if you can handle a bit of ringworm from the blankets!

Liked: Great place to stay. Staff, facilities and general layout of the hostel all fantastic. They alowed us to sleep on the couch when we arrived very early in the morning after no sleep. Special mention to the free Paddy Wagon tour on offer. What a fantastic day it was. Well worth paying for but stay here and get it free. Unbeleivable. Troy the driver/guide was very very good and had some great jokes to keep us entertained. I would not stay anywhere else in Belfast and will definatly be back.

Liked: Quite run down, and in need of heaps of maintenance. Lots of things just don't work, stuff like sheets are just left lying in corridors. Good location, free wifi though its incredibly overloaded and drops out. Breakfast is really minimal - just a cereal, milk, bread and jam. We had twin beds in a room 6'x8'.We took it in turns to stand.Fairly cheap, but you can do better.

Liked: This is no palace. We were met by a staff member who'd clearly had a few drinks, and was drinking a beer as he served us, however he was very friendly and nice. He had no knowledge of our booking. The rooms are dark (1 out of 8 lights working) and smell, and the bedding was unsatisfactory. We considered going to another hostel but in the end decided it was too late and it was only for 1 night. I wouldn't stay here again.
