Located in the relaxed and quiet town of San Jorge, Nicaragua, Hotel California is the newest addition to the oldest settlement in Nicaragua. The hotel is a very short walk from the shores of Lake Nicaragua and the ferry to beautiful Isla Ometepe.

The Pacific Ocean is 14 miles (22.5K) west and easily accessible by horse, bike, or automobile. Where: Approximately 5 miles (8K) east of Rivas and two hours south of the capital Managua. If arriving by airplane, fly into Managua. We can arrange transportation for you to and from the hotel.

If you are interested in history and archaeology, San Jorge has many archaeological sites to explore. Ancient artefacts such as pottery and jade carvings have been found in the area. One hour north is the city of Granada, which has some of the most beautiful colonial homes and architecture in Central America. Ometepe Island is the home of two majestic volcano's: Concepcion and Madras. Madras offers the adventurous a chance to hike and explore the crater lake and forest.
