 Good location and the free dinner is a bonus although if your hungry sizing up for a small fee is a good idea as the portion size is a little laughable!

Location and staff. Unfortunately the 10 dorm rooms were seriously noisy! Especially people turning on lights etc at 2:30 AM. Obviously some to be expected when in a hostel but this is by far the worst I've experienced.

The rooms, bathrooms, the staff and the location. BUT the kitchen was very bad. Too small and therefor also very dirty. its a shame when anything else at this hostel is very good.

I'm not the average young college-aged backpacker. My daughter, a foreign student studying at Victoria University, chose this hostel for me to stay at while I visited. I'm a 51 year-old mom and this is the first time I've ever stayed at a hostel. I was treated very well by the staff and the other residents. When I checked in, I was a little apprehesive about the loud music, wondering if I'd be able to sleep after a 12 hour flight. No worries...I had a great night's sleep as the hostel was quiet by night time. It was so wonderful to hear about all the great adventures the young people were having...I wish I were 30 years younger! I'll be back.

great location and comfortable double rooms.....a bit noisy at night from the bar next door but nothing ear plugs didnt solve.....free food in the evening was a bonus....small but free!! so we were not complaining....good choice....go for it!!
