Sit in the beautiful seafront lounge just 12 metres from the sea looking across Cook Strait to the South Island, or cook in the well-equipped farmhouse kitchen. Dine by candlelight and sleep in quality beds (with mmmm....electric blankets in Winter!)...... and all to the sound of the waves? Try a BBQ in the patio garden, play games, chat to fellow travellers or use our extensive information bay to help with trip planning. WIFI and fast internet are available.
Moana Lodge is ideal if you're looking for a great place to rest and relax or keen to visit the vibrant Capital City. The commuter train goes straight into the stadium for all the big sports events. Locally there are walks, swimming, sailing, kayaking, cycling, fishing, golf and diving. It's a short stroll along the beach front to great cafes, the boating club bistro and bar, village shops, the commuter railway station and it's just 8 kms drive to our new Lighthouse cinema.

If you're looking for affordable comfort and want a break away from the madding crowds this could be the place for you. With fully made up beds, unbeatable views, a warm ambiance, cosy winter fire and many homely touches, this self catering accommodation is hard to beat.
If you have a car, van or bike there is plenty of parking. The commuter train runs regularly to Plimmerton till late and the Intercity Bus request stop is at Mana. We are happy to pick you up if we know when you will arrive.

Moana Lodge is at the gateway for Inter island and Bluebridge ferries (20 minutes by car) as well as trips to Wellington(20 mins), Wairarapa (1 hr), Kapiti Coast(20mins), Hutt Valley (20 mins)and Porirua (10 mins).

Office hours are 8.00am till 9.00pm. Arrivals after 9.00pm MUST be arranged prior with the hostel or bookings will not be accepted.

48 hours cancellation is required prior to the date of arrival to avoid 1 night's penalty payment.
