Liked: Nice property (not that there is much option at Te Anau =) Clean, and nice big kitchen.

Disliked: They start cleaning the kitchen at noon, and promise to be done by 3pm. For a large portion of people this probably isn't an issue (since they are leaving early or arriving late from treks), but is painful for folks there during the day when noon is when you want to cook lunch!

Liked: It is close to town center and within walking distance to lakeside and shops.

Liked: The girls 6 bed dorm was in a separate little lodge which was great - own kitchen and bathroom, nice big bunks. Oh and I liked the 'edible garden'.

Disliked: Could have been a little bit cleaner

Liked: Like staying in a cabin. Really clean kitchen area. Super helpful staff. Just a block away from the lake, a park, and really close to the main street in town.

Disliked: Only one shower/toilet on the main floor, but only had a problem once getting in.

Liked: Very clean, good wi-fi, nice kitchen

Disliked: Nothing really but it was not as nice as told in former comments. A classic pretty good hostel but not the best I could recommend.

Liked: The Best backpackers ever, so much organised,beautifull,clean!Doesn't feel like a backpackers!

Liked: It's new and the bathrooms are big. The room is very warm and cozy

Liked: I liked the fact the kitchen was always clean as were all facilities. People staying were very considerate and quiet at night.

Disliked: Not very busy at all, not very sociable, but if you are staying in Te Anau that should be expected, nice getaway.

Liked: Great atmosphere. Kitchen is large with gas hobs (way better than electric!)

Disliked: Nothing really. Could do with a pool table or something.

Liked: The rooms were very clean and the kitchen was absolutely amazing! It was very large and had every cooking aparatus imaginable.

Disliked: The pillows were flat beyond recognition and the beds were hard as rocks.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff, nice building, beautiful garden in the back yard, parking space, good facilities, clean enough considering how many people use the toilets every second minute.

Liked: It was a perfect choice for us. We liked everything about the hostel, friendly staff, clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. We liked the atmosphere of the lounge, and the posters about how to protect the environment, etc.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Massive back yard and felt like a home. Nice place to relax

Disliked: There was a little bit of a lack of atmosphere but it was a nice place for some quiet time.

Liked: Rooms warm and comfortable - nice garden.

Disliked: Woke up to no hot water but was working within 30 mins. Toilets and showers were quite a long way from our room.
