Te Anau is the No.1 stop to base yourself and visit one of the most spectacular places in the world. Fiordland World Heritage Park. Situated on the edge of New Zealand’s 2nd largest Lake, Te Anau is truly a must see. Internationally known as 'The Walking Capital of the World' Te Anau also offers many other attractions including sightseeing and active tours to Milford and Doubtful sounds such as sea kayaking and diving. Horse riding; jet boating, quad biking, skydiving, fly-fishing, scenic flights, glow-worm caves, underground power station visits and more great attractions and activities to be found in Fiordland.
And if you do not want to participate in any action, then you can just relax in our wonderful homely hostel with a private courtyard garden, BBQ, free movies or come and chat to the staff who love to hear your travel stories.
