Liked: It was a nice Place to meet nice people / not the Kiwi Experience guys... I like the balkon and sunset there / it was quite and really clean. I would stay there again!

Liked: Really really clean and modern. Great location in town and right near the Lake. Very clean bathroom facilities. TV room with small kitchen area open 24 hours. Quiet.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Disliked: Kitchen was cramped at meal times, best to avoid between 6.30pm and 8pm. Also lounge and kitchen locked at 10.30.

Liked: Very close to the lake, within walking distance to town. Quiet at night, no traffic or party noise. Memory card readers and CD burners in the computers.

Disliked: No lockers in the rooms. Internet was expensive compared to other hostels ($6 an hour) and very slow.

Liked: New facilities, very clean. Great big kitchen and outdoor balcony. Bathrooms were clean and provided hairdryers, great showers.

Liked: Location was good, showers and bathrooms were clean. Hairdryers in bathroom were useful feature but not sure how safe having electric hairdryers right above the sink units is!A great kitchen with good equipment and really nice tables and benches at which to eat.

Disliked: In my view I'm not sure why the Lonely Planet rates this hostel so highly. it was just average for me, the decor felt dark and a bit drab and I didn't find the staff particularly friendly or helpful. The main kitchen and lounge area are locked at 10.30pm which is pretty early, only leaving a very small lounge area open which isn't big enough for more than 6 or so guests at a time. Plastic covered duvets (with covers though)-YUCK!

Liked: This place is very close to the shops so it's very handy if walking around the town. It's very tidy and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and it was a great place to meet new people.

Liked: Great kitchen in this hostel. The desk staff did not give me a map or any guidelines to what their is to do in the city...this may be because they forgot or they may not have it.

Liked: Just slightly out of the main center, but easy walking distance. Lovely common areas and balcony.

Liked: Comfortable beds, great large kitchen/living/balcony area. Dorm rooms are slightly small. Great location, few mins walk to Lake with view from Balcony.

Liked: this is very nice place to be, with its huge balcony and views over the lake. has a large clean kitchen and good social rooms full of sofas. great place

Liked: It's all good, except it's a bit far away if you arrive by bus and have to drag a heavy backpack. It's no problem with a wheely one though. And only one washing machine and dryer, so if the place is fully booked, there is a queue.

Liked: I loved the balcony with lake views at sunset! The kitchen was spacious, and the complimentary tea/coffee were a bonus. The reception staff were very friendly as well and had good advice on things to do in town. Laundry was cheap too!
