Liked: Efficient and helpful staff. Location was central (a very important point for those without transport).The place is spacious and clean. Looks freshly painted. Free coffee/tea. Opportunities to mix with other people if desired or to just do your own thing. Would stay there again if ever back in Rotorua

Disliked: It would be nice if they could provide free internet or free wifi!! Only 4 computers for hire. May be a problem during peak hours.

Liked: The location was very central, the staff very helpful and the rooms spacious and cosy. The 2 for 1 drinks offer was great too. Nice big well equiped kitchen.

Disliked: I was prompted to book this as the internet was really good value compared to other hostels, but when I arrived it wasn't working.

Liked: at town centre. convenient. helpful staff.

Disliked: en-suite double room is too big to be cosy. very bare. only bed. no place to hang clothes.

Disliked: The size of it detracted from the atmosphere! Bit too big!

Liked: VERY BIG SO ROOMS WERE LOCATED AWAY FROM THE NOISY AREAS PLUS, THE FREE GYM WHICH I USED EVERYDAY!

Disliked: NOT SO MUCH A DISLIKE JUST MORE OF A SUGGESTION COULD DO WITH BETTER HEATERS/BLANKETS AS THE PRIVATE ROOMS ARE RATHER LARGE.

Liked: Secure, in heart of city.

Disliked: Wasn't that clean. Facilities were average. Atmosphere was like a prison. Wasn't the most fun hostel I've stayed at.

Liked: Great staff that were very friendly and helpful! Great facilities for making your own food and the location was good for exploring Rotorua and the rooms were almost hotel like, very clean and made for a great base to return to after a hard days exploring!

Liked: i loved my time here....so much so that i actually went back. The staff are so nice :-D. The added feature of each bed having it's own light is AWESOME and so is the little gym upstairs too. Location is great too.

Liked: Clean. Great staff. Good location if you want to be close to inner city facilities.

Disliked: No off street parking. Lots of noise from street some nights.

Liked: This place is massive, and it's located right in the centre of town so its very easy to get transfers and walk to the rest of Rotorua. The place is clean and the staff are friendly.

Disliked: its a surprisingly big building so it can feel soulless at times, as well as that the whole place is concrete so if you go in winter, bring some warm pyjamas because you will be cold.

Liked: Great location, great prices, tour discounts at reception, very cheap internet for guests, secure lock up, massive kitchen, free gym and pool table, good deal with the climbing wall next door if you want to try that, room was spacey and clean, we had a double with a nice bathroom, and 2 beds.

Liked: This was a nice spacious and clean hostel, very central. The dorm room was good, the indoor climbing wall a fun thing to do in the evening, as well as the cinema! the staff were really helpful, one of them even phoned round lots of hostels in Rotorua when we needed a room for another night and there was none available here, which was really nice of him and saved us from a long trudge round town trying to find somewhere.

Liked: Crank was awesome... the only downfall was it's location next to Kiwi Spirit Bar, where the music was loud till real late and the superthin walls meant i could hear the french conversation of the people the next room, but luckily nothing more than that.

Liked: We stayed in a double ensuite room and paid peanuts for it! It was really clean, comfy and spacious. Shower was really good. Looks like it's having a makeover from a Base to an independant hostel, new paint work on the window ledges and doors. Would definately stay here again.
