Timers in the loo were way too short, no soap for hand basin.
Great kitchen facilities with tea and coffee provided but no milk or subsitiute

The friendliness of the staff, really open, friendly atmosphere good large kitchen, lots of social areas. I would definitely re book accomodation here on my return to rotorua.

Good hot tub, and i like the character of the place. i would mention that the showers are kind of outside fine in the summer but not sure about the winter.

Cactus Jack's had a really laid back atmosphere. Their lounging areas were very conducive to meeting people and finding things to do. The location is pretty good. Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Couldnt fault the place, stayed here in the winter so didnt get to appreciate the place in full flow but can see it would be a great place to meet people and party. This is a great hostel! And Ive stayed ina fewover the last few years travelling. very clean, perfectly located, plenty of rooms and great prices. The mexican theme really brings some fun in to the place. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Who could forget Cactus Jacks? This hostel was unique and provided a great place for a young crowd to mingle. The hot pool was a nice ammenity and the staff was friendly and accomodating.

Fantastic place to stay. Saturday night the owner cooked a huge and delicious BBQ (for a small donation..... pay the man!), the Mexico-theme was fun, everything was clean, great location, friendly staff, superb kitchen, DVDs to borrow..... Really, an outstanding hostel. Stay here!
