Liked: Really friendly staff and very helpful. Good kitchen. Decent beds. Good location.

Disliked: No lockers in rooms. Bes springs incredibly soft.

Liked: cheap, location

Disliked: the party which was going on there all night long despite the fact that they had a 10:30 no noise rule. I got to sleep at 3:30 in the night because of this party. The next day the bos kickt them out and there was only a small party and in the third night there was no party anymore.

Liked: The hostel looked like it was great back in its' day (when my partener visited 10 years ago!) but the "For Sale" signs outside gave some indication as to why it had become quite poorly maintained. The bathrooms and showers were in serious need of a renovation (some had signs indicating this was imminent, but given the high turnover in a backpackers I wonder how long they'd said that for!) and our nearest shower was filthy, stank of sweaty boys, and had a shower curtain the bottom of which was brown and crusted with filth. The kitchen was the best bit, lots of room and plenty of facilities, but the room was small with thin walls and there was lots of noise at night as the outside communal area is right outside the windows of most of the rooms! The staff were great but I hope they manage to sell up soon so this place can return to it's former glory.

Liked: the place felt quite seedy. The bathrooms were basic, but didn't think they were clean. Quite an old place, will not stay here again.
