Liked: Room was clean and warm. Good location, lava bar was fun and quite cheap.

Disliked: Staff were not very friendly or helpful. Beds were very noisy and not very comfortable.

Liked: I booked a twin room for two persons and we get a 4 bed room ensuite for the two of us because all twin rooms were occupied. Perfect for us!

Disliked: The Hostel was very loud at night because there was a bar next to the hostel.

Disliked: the bar is right next door to the hostel. Thu, Fri and Sat night were extremely noisy. We requested a different room and were moved to the far end, where no noise was heard. Quite a party hostel as the Kiwi Ex bus shows up daily. The girls only room (next to bar) offered straighteners (didn't work) and hairdryers in the room. Towels and toiletries were also provided for that room.

Liked: I was happy to find that the 6 bed female dorm was NOT bunkbeds, but rather single beds. That's a refreshing change.However, the bathrooms needed to be cleaned more regularly and there is a bar right next door which can get a little loud.

Liked: The Lava Bar was quite loud at night even though we were on the other side of the building, we could still hear it perfectly which was a bit of a shame. I wouldn't recommend this to couples or those who wish to have a quiet stay, as mostly large groups of back packers there to have a good time! otherwise the rooms were good value and pretty nice!

Liked: when my towel went missing the housekeeping lady helped me try to find it. we didn't find it but she was very kind and warmhearted. the location is great, the park across the street brings an element of serenity. i saw one of the new rooms just ebing finished, the new rooms will be very practical and compfortable.

Liked: The kitchen is fully equipped and it has a comfortable lounge and car park is available too. Not to forget, swimming in a heated pool was quite a pleasant experience for us. Just be reminded not to stay in the pool too long though, because you might get muscleache! They have some good offers on tours and activities as well.
